Multiple Fatalities Reported in Four Separate Vehicle Crashes
REGIONAL – Sad news across the tri-county area today, as officials are reporting four vehicle crashes, resulting in five fatalities in Hernando, Citrus, and Pasco Counties.
The first accident occurred around 7:00 a.m. this morning, after a car collided with a home on Harrow Ave. A deceased victim was located inside the vehicle but officials have not released details into the cause of death. Follow this Link for our earlier report.
Two people have reportedly died after a vehicle collided with an overturned tanker truck at the intersection of Trilby Road and US-98 in Dade City (Pasco County).
A second crash in New Port Richey claimed the life of 79-year-old Neville Gibbings, after he was struck by a car while crossing Massachusetts Ave at Peggymac Lane on his mobility scooter.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation and charges are pending.
One person is confirmed dead after a single vehicle collided with a building at 8696 West Halls River Road and Suncoast Blvd in Homosassa (Citrus).
A spokesperson with the Florida Highway Patrol says full reports are forthcoming.
