New Charges for Vehicle Burglary Suspect Already Behind Bars
BROOKSVILLE – A Spring Hill man is behind bars today, after officials say he is suspected of committing several vehicle burglaries in the Springwood Estates Subdivision.
According to reports, 21-year-old Joshua Rodriguez, who was already behind bars for committing an armed burglary in November, admitted to breaking into several vehicles to steal GPS devices. During an interview with investigators, Rodriguez stated that he had stolen some of the devices from vehicles parked on Black Oak Trail. Those devices were located inside Rodriguez’ truck and returned to at least two theft victims.
Rodriguez now faces two counts of Unarmed Burglary, in addition to the previous Armed Burglary Charge. Rodriguez remains behind bars – held on $16,000 bond.
