Officials Charge Suspect with 2014 CVS Armed Robbery
BROOKSVILLE – When RNRF broke the news of most recent CVS Pharmacy robbery, there were obvious signs that the suspect, 36-year-old Ryan David Lawson was most likely responsible for the 2014 CVS robbery. However, investigators faced major challenges in connecting Lawson to the first robbery, because the only available evidence was grainy surveillance video of a man wearing a mask.
Officials now say they have enough physical evidence to prosecute Lawson in both cases, and yesterday, Detective Brent Stentz made it official by charging Lawson with the September 3rd 2014 robbery.
According to officials, a search warrant was executed on Lawson’s home on the evening of the robbery, where they discovered 49 empty prescription bottles in a detached shed. Manufacturer pharmaceutical codes on each bottle confirmed they were from the 2014 CVS robbery.
Lawson remains behind bars on $150,000 bond.
