Officials Need Your Help in Finding Missing Endangered Adult

SPRING HILL – The Sheriff’s Office Reverse 911 system “Code Red” was utilized this evening, to aid in the search of for a missing endangered adult.

85-year-old Patricia Fanning disappeared from her residence on the 2000 block of Huntley Lane this afternoon, after she left on foot in an unknown direction.

Officials did receive some possible sighting of Ms. Fanning in the area of Lema Drive and Regent Lane, around 5:00 P.M.

Ms. Fanning is described as a white female, 5’4”, 150 lbs. with grey/white hair. She may be wearing a blue bathrobe, white pajama pants, and dark shoes.

Ms. Fannin suffers from memory loss (and other medical conditions) and easily becomes confused and disoriented.

Please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 352-754-6830if you have any information on the whereabouts of Ms. Fanning.

  • It doesn’t work if it’s not going out to residents that live in the vicinity. As of today I spoke with at least 6 different neighbors and none were aware of the missing woman, they also had not rec’d the call.

  • How great that she was found, and apparently unharmed! It appears the family made a very wise choice by installing the closed circuit monitoring. I still believe if the 911 reverse system was indeed implemented as stated in your article it needs to be investigated by the Sheriffs office, it did not alert SH residents in the vicinity and this is a serious problem.

  • I don’t believe the reverse 911 was implemented. I live in Spring Hill and not very far from the address indicated and I never received the call. I also talked to a neighbor, as well as a family member that also lives in SH and neither received the call. Tom, please follow up on this because it is important that the alert be reactivated if this poor woman has yet to be found.
