One Dead Two Injured in Early Morning Bar Shooting
SPRING HILL – Detectives with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an early morning shooting that left one man dead and two others injured – including the suspect.
According to officials, around 1:34 a.m., deputies responded to Bamboos Bar & Eatery, 4564 Commercial Way, after reports of a shooting at that location. When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered that three men had been shot, including the suspect who surrendered to deputies peacefully.
Officials say a disturbance inside the bar led to the shooting but the exact motive is still under investigation.
One man died at the scene as a result of his injuries, while the second shooting victim was airlifted to Bayonet Point Hospital for treatment. The shooter was also transported to Bayonet Point, for what sources say was a gunshot wound to the leg.
The names of the men involved are not being released at this time.
