Pasco Deputy, Live PD “Star” Arrested for Driving Under the Influence

UPDATE: 12:07 P.M. – Attorney Pierre Joseph contacted RNRF immediately after we broke the news of Walker’s arrest, demanding that we remove the article regarding his client. “I am requesting that you immediately remove your story regarding Deputy Walker. The story contain multiple inaccuracies and is a pending case with Pasco county. This is a notice for initiating litigation and an attempt to settle the matter,” Joseph stated in an email to RNRF.

During a phone interview, Mr. Joseph confirmed that his client was arrested for DUI but that his client had not been terminated. We explained that Walker’s termination was confirmed by Pasco Sheriff’s Spokesperson Kevin Doll, but he still demanded that it be removed until the conclusion of the investigation.

Joseph also asked that we remove all “unconfirmed information” from the article until an officials report is released. RNRF wants to reiterate, the information regarding the crash, fleeing from the scene, and leaving a firearm in the vehicle is unconfirmed. This is information received from three independent witnesses, not officials.

We asked Joseph to provide details of the case but he declined.

PASCO – A familiar face with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office and the hit television series, Live PD, found himself behind bars, after sources say he was arrested for driving under the influence.

Pasco County Officials have confirmed that the charismatic and well-liked Corporal Steven Walker was arrested by New Port Richey Police. He has been terminated by the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, according to a Kevin Doll, a spokesperson for the agency.

There are unconfirmed witness reports that Walker crashed a vehicle into a parked car on Friday evening and then fled the scene. Sources also say he may have left his agency firearm inside the vehicle.

Walker was later arrested and charged with DUI.

We have been unable to reach a representative with the New Port Richey Police to obtain an official report.

Walker and former co-worker, Deputy Nick Carmack appeared together on News Channel 8’s Daytime morning show on Wednesday.

We will bring more on this story as it develops.

  • The New Port Richey Police are corrupt as hell. They have vendettas against officers and deputies from other agencies. I’ve heard of numerous Pasco deputies having lost their jobs because NPR Police developed hard-ons for and threw the book at people once they find out they’re also police.

These are the same guys who setup speed traps deploying half their agency on roads where the limits are around 30mph (and should be way more).

I hate to break it to you little guys (many of them are on the lower end of five feet), just because someone gets hired to a real agency instead of you, doesn’t mean you should hold grudges. You’re a joke and your agency should be liquidated and merged into Pasco, just like they did with Brooksville PD and Hernando.

  • my name is tina and in april 2013 we lost our 24 year old daughter and her unborn baby to a drunk driver.I have no remorse for anyone like this and yes he should not be a officer because he lost that right by doin what he did.yes he needs to be placed on probation and his lisence taken from him for 6 months just like anyone else.i also think he should have to take classes just like anyone else.he is no better.

  • Sadly this is not uncommon. I am in Northern New York on vacation along the St. Lawrence river. At about 1:45 Sunday morning an off duty Border Patrol Agent parked his Ford truck UNDER the French Creek Bridge. The road goes West to East and he was facing southbound totally sunk under the bridge. He was only three times the legal limit though. Instead of driving while intoxicated he should have been charged with boating while intoxicated.

    Tuesday, 18 September 2018, 12:03 pm
    • Thank-you, Resting Eagle, for your vacation story. It made my day. They ALL need to be treated the same as John q. public with no special treatment. It really isn’t funny to endanger people but your boating under the influence just made me LOL. An ex-relative of mine was arrested for WWI (walking for intoxicated). Didn’t even know THAT CHARGE EXISTED till it happened to him.

  • Lmao for real. I was lucky enough to spend almost 2 years in the Pasco county jail. Im not a stupid person ive just made stupid mistakes. Ive had the privilege of knowing Mr.Walker and ya hes trash. He thinks he’s above the law. Thinks he can go to other couties and break laws and get away with it, well he did. So im sure he thought he could get away anything in pasco. Well at least thats how it worked at the jail for him. For all of you that think he is a good dude, your wrong. Hed still have job if he was a good dude. And all of you on Nocco’s nutz, Port Richey police got his ass not Nocco’s do boys. If it was the pasco sheriffs office that responded to this call you can bed this pos would still have his job. Pasco corrupt as fk they learn it at the jail and bring it with them when they move up. Karma is a B****. Great job New Port Richey Police! Keep up the great work theres plenty more just like him that think they are above the law!

  • He should know better, however I don’t think he should lose his job.No one was hurt, everyone deserves another

    Monday, 17 September 2018, 1:01 pm
    • So he causes a crash, leaves his fire arm in the car, runs away from that accident and you will still want this guy to be a cop?? To give him another chance?? WHY? So many good people would want a job like that and be good at it. This guy just showed us what he is made of…

      Tuesday, 18 September 2018, 4:49 am
    • Hell NO! you obviously haven’t been a victim of n.p.r. … 8 officers this year have been terminated for either sexually assaulting someone, physical assaulting, discharging firearm in home invasion , drunk driving …it was their first time… you really think they’ll let you go on your first time …look up court records state of Fla. Vs. Alan edge. He squirted an orange soda on his x wife to get her off him. He’s all scratched to hell and bruised from her ass whooping ….but he went to jail…$7,000 later he had to go for reduced charge today he’s dead she murdered a cop and walking….it was her first time….

      Sunday, 23 September 2018, 1:49 pm
  • first of all he’s not in jail he’s at home I saw him yesterday what about 9 of his friends all Pasco County deputies who was in jail one night don’t make comments unless you got the fax this is All Plumbing Terry and he did get fired

    Monday, 17 September 2018, 8:49 am
    • FAX(LMAO) is HE was drunk driving,he did hit a car,he did leave the scene and yes he did leave his gun in the car,yes he did get fired!!
Ha bout dat he’s not special

      Monday, 17 September 2018, 2:34 pm
  • I guess we are all saints and have NEVER had a drink and drove even if it was down the road… please! Take a look in the mirror before casting your stones you never know they just might hit you in the head… as for being fired come in that’s a bit extreme maybe put him on leave with out pay for a period, losing your job over a DUI is a little overboard!

    Monday, 17 September 2018, 6:55 am
    • DUI with property damage

      Monday, 17 September 2018, 1:13 pm
    • Let me guess, you are married to a police officer. The guy was drinking and driving what part of that do you not understand. Let’s see the police body camera, and we will know the truth. Oh wait that will never happen. I bet he had a gun in the car as well. Karma, How can you arrest people, and do the same thing. This guy can never be taken seriously again as a police officer. Thank RNRF for your unbiased reporting.

      Monday, 17 September 2018, 2:44 pm
      • Thank you for your concern but no actually I am not married and never had been married to an Officer, I’m just not quick to condemn someone regardless of job title for poor judgment or mistake that was made. Oh and yes I do understand all parts of his actions like I said I’m not so quick to condemn.

        Wednesday, 19 September 2018, 5:04 am
    • Police officers are held to a standard. They are an example to all of us, so yes this is an offense that should and did cost him his job.

      Monday, 17 September 2018, 2:56 pm
    • Tiffany… I just looked in the mirror and I must have seen a angel because I never had a drink and got behind the wheel.. You know why?? I bet you don’t! I didn’t do that because your life and everyone else’s life is more precious to me than a drink.. I guess you will never understand that…

      Tuesday, 18 September 2018, 4:53 am
      • SN that’s cute you saw an Angel when looking in the mirror, but come on let’s get back to reality I would be willing to bet your not as perfect as you like to think 🤔…

        Wednesday, 19 September 2018, 4:57 am
    • You don’t think a police officer who has vowed to serve and PROTECT us should loose his job after committing several crimes including DUI, causing an accident, leaving the scene of an accident and leaving his gun in the vehicle? Crimes that had you or I committed would have ABSOLUTELY landed us in jail? Crimes that he vowed to serve and protect us from? I bet my life if it was you or someone you love in the vehicle he hit and then ran from you would have a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT opinion. I sure don’t want a police officer that is capable of making such irresponsible and potentially dangerous/harmful choices serving and protecting my family. Someone could have been seriously injured or even dead because of the choices he made. I wonder how many men and women this officer has arrested for the EXACT same crimes that He committed?!?! He 1000% absolutely should loose his job and never be allowed to be a LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER AGAIN! He lost the right to carry that badge when he got behind the wheel drunk. If he was in any other profession I would be inclined to agree with you on him not losing his job but thats not the case and he is supposed to enforce the law not break it

      Saturday, 6 October 2018, 12:42 am
  • The real question is what type of narcotics were in the car..?

    Monday, 17 September 2018, 1:19 am
  • he was out in no booking address….you know like you and I would go through?? HUMILITY?? HES A COP>>HES ABOVE THE LAW..HANG HIS ASS TO PROVE A POINT>>

    Monday, 17 September 2018, 12:10 am
    • Come on most of you guys drink and drive so why should he lose his job. He wasn’t on duty yes I know people get arrested for the same thing. But put him on desk duty he won’t like that to much or make him take 911 calls you aren’t helping him by firing him

      Monday, 17 September 2018, 10:25 am
      • Really?? Most of us drink and drive?? You must be speaking about your self…

        Tuesday, 18 September 2018, 4:55 am
      • If you drink and drive your a dumb ass. A lot of jobs where you drive for a living fire you on the spot for a DUI

        Tuesday, 18 September 2018, 11:51 am
  • None of them are SAINTS

    Monday, 17 September 2018, 12:03 am
  • Your FIRED

    Sunday, 16 September 2018, 11:12 pm
  • Wow there is a lot of angry people with opinions. I guess u r all so righteous that u feel you can cast the first stone. There is one Judge, God!

    Sunday, 16 September 2018, 9:49 pm
    • This is another example of why the police should wear body cameras. These police arrest people, and have them charged with crimes based on their word as a “trusted” authority. Obviously, they at times are no better than the “criminals” they arrest. When the “suspect” goes in front of the judge it’s their word against the “criminals”. When it is their word against yours the judge will take their side. With this being said cameras will help the honest stay honest, and weed out the bad apples on the force. No one should be above the law especially those who work in law-enforcement. Very concerning makes you wonder what are they hiding.

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 11:16 pm
      • Well said

        Monday, 17 September 2018, 8:59 am
    • Really? And God will side with drunks and ignore the victims of drunk drivers… I guess your God is better than my God!

      Tuesday, 18 September 2018, 4:58 am
      • Well, there is only one true God! I believe Ecclesiastes is trying to say that who are we to judge one way or another. Why does it have to be that someone’s God is better than another? Although like I said before there is only ONE true God and he cares for everyone, Sinner or Saint. I’m sure you have at least one sin in your life you wish you could redo or ask for forgiveness. Whether you believe what someone did was right or wrong, its not for us to judge. Just pray…

        Tuesday, 18 September 2018, 3:41 pm
  • Now he gets the view from the back seat of the car.

    Sunday, 16 September 2018, 8:07 pm
  • Way to go, what a great role model….IDIOT

    Sunday, 16 September 2018, 6:44 pm
  • You could do a show on the corrupt Deputies of Pasco and Hernando, how many have there been in the last year or two? Now you know why Hernando won’t get body cams…..

    Sunday, 16 September 2018, 6:29 pm
    • He’s not a corrupt deputy, you piece of

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 8:01 pm
      • Naw he is just a drunk driver and a coward and footloose and fancy free with guns. Get real, he is a piece of crap that doesn’t ever belong in law enforcement again.

        Tuesday, 18 September 2018, 4:02 pm
    • The amount of tax dollars spent supporting the sheriffs department needs to be cut in half. The extra money can go to cleaning up Springhill, and the whole county. Make the blvds and road ways nice again. Obviously our huge police force is not doing it. We need to have a nicer looking area it will generate higher property values, and in return more tax dollars. When the area looks bad it attracts bad people, bad people don’t care and things just get worse and worse.

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 11:34 pm
      • This is the dumbest babble I’ve ever read. First..police DO NOT get paid alot. And certainly not enough to get killed. Check your resources…there is an officer shot and killed every day! Last I looked…police are not housekeepers. If its your street making a mess…then why dont yall clean it up. Do you know the statistics of PTSD for 1st Responders? 68%…because of horror of their work. Do you know how many commit suicide a year? A high damn number. Just sayin…try to be humane. He will pay dearly for his mistakes.

        Monday, 17 September 2018, 12:47 am
        • Babble, I’m not sure if you are a property owner, and taxpayer but if you look at your tax bill and see how much of our tax dollars go to the police force you would probably think different. Many people have stressful jobs, think about doctors who deal with tragic serious situations every day. Your argument/defense is weak. By the way our street is beautiful and it’s because myself, and neighbors keep it that way, not the police.

          Monday, 17 September 2018, 3:00 pm
          • I took what candylyy said as clean up your own mess and don’t expect anyone else to. By what you said about your street this doesn’t even appt to you .

            Tuesday, 18 September 2018, 10:05 pm
    • What does this have to do with hernando?

      Monday, 17 September 2018, 2:37 pm

    Sunday, 16 September 2018, 6:17 pm
    • Oh JANET! SO YOU APPROVE OF WHAT HE DID! HUMM! do you also drink and drive etc.? Sick Glad Sherriff Nocoo protects us from people like him. Kudos to him!!

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 7:28 pm
  • If true as reported, this story is really unfortunate but law enforcement should know better. Today’s society just doesn’t allow for mistakes to be overlooked anymore and Chris Nocco does have some ethical standards which he has proven by terminating many deputies who have used poor judgment professionally and personally.

Property damage was the final conviction here. Once you cause property damage or bodily injury, the liability factor changes. New Port Richey PD probably did not want to execute the arrest but they had little choice. This deputy chose to drive intoxicated, hit a vehicle, and left the scene, assuming the report is mostly accurate. The agency can not afford to keep him around and even if the case is dismissed on a technicality or was designed to be dismissed on a technicality, it wouldn’t be a double standard to retain him as a deputy. His law enforcement career is likely over regardless of the outcome of this case unless it’s ultimately dismissed completely or is never prosecuted. You can see his lawyer frantically attempting to do some damage control which means he’s trying to conceal as much as possible but if the arrest was made, the arrest was made, despite confidentiality protections the deputy might enjoy up to the point of his termination.

    Sunday, 16 September 2018, 5:18 pm

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 6:27 pm
    • @Andre Roxx
You need to get back in school to learn how to read. PCSO did not make that request, it was Walker’s attorney who made request.

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 8:13 pm
  • So sorry to read this about a LEO, they do need to live by standards that the public expects and respects. This isn’t about his co-workers, they still have my utmost respect and support..May God be with all of you…

  • I’ve been in Pasco County Jail, and he was probably one of the coolest officers that I came across. For anyone who wants to make judgements, to me, who knew him personally on an inmate to officer level, he’s a good dude.

    Sunday, 16 September 2018, 1:10 pm
    • Good dude my butt, drunk driving, hitting another vehicle and then running like a real coward. No business being a cop. Lmbo lost 2 stars today butthead. • Guess what? I’m a good person who made a stupid mistake. And OMG judgemental people, where do they come from?
Does it make you feel better to bash someone for a mistake? Then you, whoever you are, are a pathetic, unfulfilled human being. But oh well, you do you. ✌

        Sunday, 16 September 2018, 6:30 pm
        • BETH PROUD TO SAY I HAVE NEVER BEEN A JAIL BIRD. GLAD YOU ARE PROUD OF IT. LMBO. Where I come from is of no IMPORTANCE , but it sure was never JAIL😂😂😂😂😂🐱

          Sunday, 16 September 2018, 7:23 pm
    • A good dude who damaged property while drunk driving and fled the scene. All the hallmarks of a good dude.

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 3:10 pm
    • You just have to be the coolest officer ever and a “good dude”. That makes perfect sense…All is forgiven. …Women logic.

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 8:02 pm
    • Best comment I’ve read so far. He is a great guy, we all makes mistakes. No ones Perfect…

        Sunday, 16 September 2018, 3:00 pm
    • Mistakes are accidental not intentional.

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 3:12 pm
  • Welcome to pasco county, prob arrested some people the weekend before talking ahit to them. We have a real problem here in pasco where cops think they’re the gods of the town. Street cops wear military uniforms and and use intimidation tactics to impose their will.

Good job. Enjoy being a civilian ima slap your ass when I see you putzing around gulf view squaremall selling mid packs

    Sunday, 16 September 2018, 12:01 pm
    • Uncle, Pasco isn’t the only one to use intimidation tactics. Hernando county sheriff’s office does the same thing. I’m living the nightmare NOW because the deputies are friends of neighbors. In the last year I’VE been threatened with arrest 3 times over a cat!!!! True story . They try to change your words around and confuse you, then threaten you with arrest and beat you down to intimidate you. Ridiculous what they get away with. FDLE needs to investigate Hernando, Pasco and any others like them to the fullest extent.

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 4:16 pm
  • What was he thinking, a real dumb ass. Pasco county has shown respect for it’s members who obey the law they are sworn to uphold. Hernando sheriff could learn a great deal from a professional law agency.

    Sunday, 16 September 2018, 11:40 am
    • Lol – yeah, HCSO has “so much to learn” from the agency with offers who drink and drive, and leave the scene of a crime! Lmao. . . You must be Pasco educated 😂

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 12:56 pm
      • Pasco educated but you misspell “officers” lol

        Sunday, 16 September 2018, 2:16 pm
        • Oh I’m sorry my auto-correct makes you feel I’m stupid, but you’re 3rd header logic doesn’t 😂

          Sunday, 16 September 2018, 5:29 pm
      • Dont forget Deputy Mercado who masturbated in public and tried to smear his semen on a women’s face after he coerced her out of her house. You police apologists are as ignorant as they come.

        Sunday, 16 September 2018, 3:16 pm
    • Pasco is the worst department I’ve ever dealt with.

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 3:14 pm
  • Haha! He should’ve chose cannabis and he wouldn’t have hit anyone else! Serves him right Polk County loves treating our medical cannabis patients like sex offenders!

    Sunday, 16 September 2018, 11:30 am
    • Spoken like a true pothead, and it was Pasco not Polk you stupid stoner.

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 11:54 am

        Sunday, 16 September 2018, 3:17 pm
      • Only person stupid is you cuz obviously you didn’t read what she wrote… “Polk county loves treating our/her medical cannabis patients” get educated before you respond with a ignorant comment like that..maybe you are the stoner 🤔🤔🤔

        Sunday, 16 September 2018, 6:42 pm
    • lmao this comment is The best SHOULD HAVE CHOOSE CANNABIS IS CORRECT!!!!

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 12:29 pm

    Sunday, 16 September 2018, 11:21 am
  • Pasco’s finest working hard to keep us safe. 🤔🖕🖕🖕🖕👊

    Sunday, 16 September 2018, 11:18 am
  • This doesn’t make him a bad person. Alcohol will make the best people make bad decisions. I see lives affected by it everyday. I hope he gets himself straightened out and gets help if he needs it.

    Sunday, 16 September 2018, 11:08 am
    • It doesn’t make him a bad person! 1) Drinking & driving is against the law! I lost my brother bc of an idiot doing that! 2) he’s a police officer, he arrests people daily for DUI, & this wasn’t his first! He deserves to lose his badge, & do time like others! How can you arrest people & fine them when you do the same thing, & run! I’m proud Pasco fired him

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 12:22 pm
    • Yes, it does. He chose to drink and drive, dimwit.

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 1:10 pm
    • Well said.

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 1:26 pm
    • Making bad decisions makes you a bad perso. Blaming alcohol or drugs is a weak cop out.

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 1:46 pm
    • Cops who commit crimes are not bad people? Another police apologist. Would you say the same if he hit your child?

      Sunday, 16 September 2018, 3:19 pm
  • what is wrong with steven walker. he should of known bwetter then to drive while drunk. well now he’s been terminated. he should be ashamed of himself.

  • I applaud the Pasco Sheriff’s Dept.for their swift action in terminating this person. Transparency in Dept. matters is of utmost importance when you want the public’s respect. Deputies or officers are human but the position they hold requires they restrict themselves to the same laws as the public. Thank-you, Pasco Sheriff’s Dept., for your swift action and transparency. As for mr. walker a very bad choice on your part
    1) driving drunk and 2) hitting a vehicle and 3) leaving the scene and 4) DID YOU REALLY LEAVE YOUR DEPT. FIREARM IN THE CAR?? You showed no respect for the public, the Dept., the law or your family by doing this. Welcome to the real world.

    • Joe, that naked woman had a gun. Antique or not, dont drop the weapon when told then you’re gonna get shot. The person that was wrong was the security guard who did nothing to help her before she got the weapon.

    • I was pulled over by a hernando cop and went jail cause he did a test on a straw that was in my Truck along with other trash. Said it, “Tested pos for meth”. I have never done meth and that field test you can use on and come back positive. All charges dropped but still cost me money. what a frigging scam.
