Patient Punches, Kicks, and Spits Blood in Faces of Staff and LEO
SPRING HILL – Yesterday, deputies responded to Bayfront Health of Spring Hill, on Quality Drive, after staff called 911 to report a disturbance inside the emergency room.
According to officials, 21-year-old Nicholas Vincent Green became enraged, while receiving treated inside the Hospital’s emergency room. At one point, Green punched Kymberly Guillot, a Registered Nurse, with a closed fist in the face, and then kicked Jennifer Cooper, also a Registered Nurse, in the face. Pasco County Deputy, Mark Hilton tried to restrain the man, but Green spit blood into his face and eyes. Hernando County Deputy, L. Genovese, says he attempted to subdue the man, but Green grabbed his fingers and bent them back – causing a severe sprain. Eventually, Green was restrained without further incident.
Green was taken into custody and transported to the Hernando County Jail, where he is currently held on an $8,000 bond.
Green was a transfer from Pasco County, under the Marchman Act, a law that allows the involuntary commitment of individuals with substance abuse problems.
