Pedestrian Injured in Hit and Run Crash, Airlifted to Trauma Center

BROOKSVILLE – Fire Rescue is on the scene of a hit and run crash at the intersection of Broad Street and Howell Ave that has injured a pedestrian.

According to unconfirmed reports, the victim may have been struck by an SUV after he stepped into the roadway. Sources say the vehicle fled the scene but there is no description available at this time.

The victim will be airlifted to a nearby trauma center for treatment.

  • Alot of crazy people & activity in damac estates just a block from this scene. Please be EXTREMELY CAREFUL in this area. They race around damac like lunatics even though the speed limit is 20 mph. They’ve been chasing cats, some dogs & God knows what else. There is no lighting at this intersection & people walk to dollar general all the time.

    For the victim my prayers go out to & for you & your family. I hope you get a description of the vehicle so justice can be done.

    • Not to detract from this victim but if anyone knowing Sandra Faye Gainor Carpenter ( another hit & run victim ) would post how she is doing I’d really appreciate it.
