Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle, Cortez and Windmere

BROOKSVILLE – One person confirmed dead after vehicle struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Cortez Blvd and Windmere Road.

Fire Rescue and Law enforcement are just arriving on the scene and have confirmed that a male pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle.

The driver has stopped and is cooperating with accident investigators.

The accident occurred in the southbound turn lane of Cortez Blvd.

    • The car that hit the man only “stayed” because another driver put his truck infront of the ladies car to stop her. She was attempting to drive away.
