Pedestrian Struck and Killed – Cortez Blvd and Winter Street

BROOKSVILLE – Law enforcement is on the scene of fatal accident involving a pedestrian, at the intersection of Cortez Blvd and Winter Street.

Officials have not released a report at this time, but sources say a man walked into oncoming traffic and was struck by a car.

Rescue Personnel were seen performing CPR on the victim, just before he was transported to Bayfont Health Brooksville for treatment.

The identity of the victim has not been released, pending notification of next-of-kin.

  • Your Right, Not always the drivers fault but why don’t many of the drivers stop to render help to the people that they hit, it is because most are driving with no insurance and suspended licenses, It’s no longer safe to even walk on the sidewalks here if there is even a sidewalk to walk on.
