Pedestrian Struck and Killed on SR-52, Charges Pending

HUDSON (PASCO) – A pedestrian was struck and killed last night as she attempted to cross SR-52.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 38-year-old Byron Perkins was traveling westbound on SR-52, approaching Pasco Terrace Court, when 44-year-old Angel Calafiore stepped into the path of his Dodge Durango.

Calafiore suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Alcohol has not been ruled out as a factor and charges are pending.

    • Well if you’re doing 55 on 52 you are speeding, check the speed limit there.

        That section is 45 mph speed limit.
