Port Richey Man Charged in Shooting Death of 14-Year-Old Boy

PORT RICHEY (PASCO) – Nearly one month after the deadly Valentine’s Day drive-by shooting that claimed the life of 14-year-old Christian Robinson, Pasco County Detectives have charged a Port Richey man with the teens murder.

According to officials, just before 6:00 p.m. on February 14th, Robinson and three other occupants were traveling in a blue Hyundai on Ridge Crest Road when shots were fired from a dark colored Mazda into the Hyundai, striking Robinson in the head.

Robinson later died from his injuries at a nearby hospital.

The driver of the Hyundai was able to provide a description of the vehicle and suspect, who was later identified as 26-year-old Steven Irizarry Marin of 6700 Date Palm Blvd.

Marin lives just a half-mile from where the shooting took place.

Marin is charged with homicide and has been booked into the Land O’ Lakes Detention Center.
