Possible Kidnapping Victim Now Faces Domestic Battery Charge
SPRING HILL – Last week, RNRF reported a bizarre missing and endangered person case, in which 33-year-old Stacy Lynn Francis disappeared from the area of Ave of the Palms. There were unconfirmed reports at the time of her disappearance that Francis was forcibly taken by an unknown male suspect, driving a green SUV. Less than 24-hours later, Francis was located by authorities, supposedly at an address inside Brookridge Subdivision.
Officials are still not commenting on the case; however, on the same day that Francis was located, a suspect was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery and Kidnapping. According to Jail Records, 41-year-old Joey Lee Davis of Oldsmar was booked on those charges and is currently free on $35,000 bond. Officials will not say whether Davis’ arrest is related to Stacy Francis’ disappearance.
The saga doesn’t end there… Just three days after Francis was located, she was arrested for failing to appear on previous drug charges. Francis bonded out of jail a few hours later but was re-arrested Saturday on charges of Domestic Battery – bond was revoked on the drug charges as well.
According to reports, Francis and her boyfriend Ryan Sullivan were arguing over money near the intersection of Cyclops Drive and Dawn Lane. The dispute turned physical when Francis began throwing Sullivan’s belongings all over the street. When Sullivan bent down to retrieve his belongings, Francis began kicking at his hands and then struck him on the head with one of the items. An independent witness confirmed what Sullivan told Sheriff’s Deputies and Francis was taken into custody.
Francis denied purposely striking Sullivan but said that she may have stepped on his hands by accident.
Francis posted a $4,500 bond the following day.
