Robbery Suspect Terrorizes 9-year-old at Gunpoint, Authorities Say Developing Trend
CITRUS – Just one day after the brazen armed robbery of two internet cafés, officials with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office are warning citizens of a possible trend involving surrounding counties.
Yesterday RNRF reported the robbery of Xtreme Café and Flamingo Café in Dunnellon, where shots were fired and a woman was temporarily held hostage. CLICK FOR ORIGINAL STORY
On October 18th several suspects robbed a Marion County Dollar General Store, holding a woman and her 9-year-old daughter at gunpoint, while other suspects ordered employees to empty the registers.
Officials have not confirmed that the two incidents are related but there are similarities in the two robberies.
Officials are asking citizens to report suspicious activity to authorities.
