School Lunchroom Employee Resigns Amid Allegations of Inappropriate Conduct
WEEKI WACHEE – After receive several viewer tips from concerned parents, RNRF learned that a Weeki Wachee High School Employee has resigned amid allegations of “Inappropriate Conduct.”
There are unconfirmed reports that a 17-year-old male student had sexual encounters with an adult lunchroom employee, on campus, and during school hours.
Sources say the employee, 20-year-old Asma Rashid would send text messages to the student and then meet in an unoccupied classroom to perform sexual acts.
School Officials confirmed the allegations and say Rashid voluntarily resigned at the conclusion of their investigation.
A spokesperson with the Sheriff’s Office says Rashid will not face criminal charges.
Florida Legislators passed the “Romeo and Juliet” law in 2007, allowing minors between the ages of 16 and 17 to consent to have sex with adults up to age 23.
