School Lunchroom Employee Resigns Amid Allegations of Inappropriate Conduct

WEEKI WACHEE – After receive several viewer tips from concerned parents, RNRF learned that a Weeki Wachee High School Employee has resigned amid allegations of “Inappropriate Conduct.”

There are unconfirmed reports that a 17-year-old male student had sexual encounters with an adult lunchroom employee, on campus, and during school hours.

Sources say the employee, 20-year-old Asma Rashid would send text messages to the student and then meet in an unoccupied classroom to perform sexual acts.

School Officials confirmed the allegations and say Rashid voluntarily resigned at the conclusion of their investigation.

A spokesperson with the Sheriff’s Office says Rashid will not face criminal charges.

Florida Legislators passed the “Romeo and Juliet” law in 2007, allowing minors between the ages of 16 and 17 to consent to have sex with adults up to age 23.

  • Once upon a time an old man spread rumors that his neighbor was a thief.
As a result, the young man was arrested. Days later the young man was proven innocent. After been released he sued the old man for wrongly accusing him.
In court the old man told the Judge: ‘They were just comments, didn’t harm anyone..’
The judge, before passing sentence on the case, told the old man: ‘Write all the things you said about him on a piece of paper. Cut them up and on the way home, throw the pieces of paper out. Tomorrow, come back to hear the sentence.’
The next day, the judge told the old man: ‘Before receiving the sentence, you will have to go out and gather all the pieces of paper that you threw out yesterday.’
The old man said: ‘I can’t do that! The wind spread them and I won’t know where to find them.’
The judge then replied: ‘The same way, simple comments may destroy the honor of a man to such an extent that one is not able to fix it.’
“If you can’t speak well of someone, rather don’t say anything”
‘Let’s all be masters of our mouths, so that we won’t be slaves of our words’

  • Crazy how this ***** passed the lie detector tests when there were pictures of her LAYING DOWN In this boys bed seen by many students on snapchat. Disgusts me

  • I watched the woman pass a polygraph test on national television…I’d say perhaps unbiased “news” reporting would also include the facts of the case.

For example; she had previously graduated the year before and personally knew most of the students, so while she violated her employer contract, I’d imagine that it was unreasonable at best to expect her to not SOCIALIZE with what were just a year ago, her peers. She was never found to be having any sexual contact with ANY student, never confirmed by the school. Hence why the sheriff’s department did not press charges, nothing to do with any “Romeo and Juliet” law(s)…also the reason this story was never picked up by any reputable news outlet.

Perhaps thinking before re-sharing anything posted on any website, much less one named “Real News Real Fast”, especially when not verified by any law enforcement agencies…and definitely think before you share vile comments out of ignorance. Slander or allegations can affect anyone.

With THAT being said, polygraph exams have been known to be faulty and called by some of our leading scientific researchers to be pseudoscience and completely unreliable.

  • Just watched this story on Steve Wilkos. Lie detector test results cleared her of these allegations. People will still probably believe she did it regardless. Oh well. Life goes on.

  • the real story…she’s a young woman who works for hcsb. She hooked up with a kid, a few years her junior, that went to wwhs where she worked. She smoked weed with him in the parking lot and got caught by her supervisor. They should both be charged for drug poses soon on school grounds but I digress. Later in the day she was caught making out with him in a stairwell by a teacher. These events sparked an investigation by the school. The student’s parents didn’t want to press charges probably because it would’ve implicated their child in a felony charge, so the lunch lady was forced to resign. She should be charged with something, child endagerment, child abuse, something, because she is employed by the school board and he was a child that was entrusted to her care in some way. They are not peers in this case. The school swept it under the carpet so they wouldn’t get any bad attention. They did nothing when a one eyed custodian at winding waters k8 was found to be touching kids in the cafeteria earlier this year. So I’m surprised that they even forced her to resign. It’s her man and 2 year old kid at home I feel bad for. But this shows that hcsb doesn’t train their employees properly and that they don’t care enough about the community to rid it of pedofiles that are caught red handed in the act. Shame on you hcsb. And Asma too.

  • @emma were you there too?

  • Crazy B… how slow are you? The Romeo and Juliet law was put into place because you would have high school sophomores dating seniors and once the senior graduated the parents would get pissed off and press charges. You would end up with teenagers that had a perfectly normal relationship getting slapped with a label of being a sexual predator and on a list for the rest of their lives. Kids in high school could have up to a four or five year age gap and be dating legally and then all of a sudden when one of them turns 18 it became a felony. The law is just and make sense rather than ruining these kids lives and ensuring that they never become productive members of society simply because they dated someone in high school and continued the relationship.

  • @daniel pinner, if you are sick of Mr, Tom’s reporting, then please tell me why you are reading it? If it weren’t for him, we would be unaware of a lot of things going on in this county Now go ahead and correct my grammar, idk. @Nope, I don’t see where anyone said it WAS rape, I believe you should re-read and comprehend what you read. She should have stuck with working in the lunch room and not in the classroom. .Parents were concerned and obviously some of the other students told them. They are there to learn, play sports etc not have sex in an empty classroom, with anyone ,.Lastly, Kathy Hastings, agree and we’ll said!!

  • Typically, when a person is in a “position of authority” it matters not if the other person is of age of consent….lots of people incarcerated because of those words. A school employee would be considered in a position of authority. I do not know any of the individuals involved and am not for charges against her; just think, another example of how law is not executed consistently…..

    Thursday, 21 April 2016, 7:17 pm
