Search Underway for Armed Robbery Suspect, Stabbed Victim in the Throat
UPDATE: 10/18/2016, 3:50 P.M. – Citrus County Officials say they have arrested Michael Todd Marcum in Crystal River. He was taken into custody before noon today without incident.
LECANTO (CITRUS) – Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for a suspect who stabbed a man during a robbery at a mobile home park, early Sunday morning.
Officials say the incident occurred at B&B RV Park located at 5096 W. Gulf to Lake Hwy in Lecanto around 9:00 a.m. The male victim told deputies that 36-year-old Michael Todd Marcum, robbed him and stabbed him in the throat. The victim was taken to Ocala Regional with serious injuries.
Marcum fled on a mountain bike before deputies arrived on the scene and is still on the run. Officials consider Marcum to be armed and dangerous.
Marcum is described as a white male, 6’ tall, weighing 150 lbs., and has close cropped brown hair and brown eyes.
Marcum currently has open felony warrants for attempted murder, false imprisonment, and armed robbery. Marcum was just released from Prison on October 8th, after spending over 9-years behind bars.
Marcum’s has very distinctive tattoos on the front and side of his neck; the front of neck tattoo is the word “Dirty”, which is also his street name, and the right side of his neck is a demon. He also has a tattoo of a swastika under his left eye.
