  • $500.00 in cash…………I’m assuming was robbed from the cashier. Why would there be $500.00 in cash in the till at one time?

    • The $500 figure is the magic number difference between a felony and a misdemeanor

      Wednesday, 1 November 2017, 5:09 am
    • There wouldn’t be, much is dropped into a locked box for reasons such as this. But I’m pretty sure(guessing) the Mgr might have been involved up front for them to have gotten ‘key’ access to the rest of the ‘dropped’ cash, since there were threats made of a knife involved in the incident.

  • Time to put some locks on that shed then. They won’t like being locked in with no way out…lol. PLUS, renter or not…if she is the current resident residing there and she holds the lease…she CAN trespass them. But the cops do have to SEE them in the yard.

  • Can the clothing be tested for DNA ? K-9 couldn’t track him? That area of Spring Hill is filled with a bunch of low life people and many homeless people. A lot of homeless people are squatting in the vacant homes and HCSO will not help the people who live around these houses. Did you people know that if you rent you cannot trespass a person from the property you call home? This is what my sister was told when she found people staying in their shed. Needless to say she’s moving tomorrow to a better neighborhood.

    • She’ll have to move awfully far. Sad when people are being chased out of their homes.

      Monday, 30 October 2017, 11:34 pm
    • One would think the landlord would want to help get rid of squatters, if tenant can’t make complaint to LEO. My landlord would!

      Tuesday, 31 October 2017, 2:05 am
    • Please state the law on that, is it Hernando County law, or state law? If it is not a law and hcso told her that, then therr is a definite problem with the leo’s brain or lszy one. Either way that is the stupidist thing I have seen on hear. Hope they catch this scum, definitely out of hand EVERYWHERE.

      • I looked for one and could not find it. My sister was told this by three deputies who showed up when she called 911. She said the way the police spoke to the homeless people it was like they knew them and did not take my sisters complaint serious. The four people were in the shed when the police arrived. She couldn’t even get charges brought for breaking into their shed. Instead of having her landlord trespass people, they have opted to move out of one of the worst areas of Spring Hill. The homeless people are destroying other peoples property and nothing is being done about it.

        • Frozen, sorry 4 ur sister, it is kinda like the dog laws around here ( no I don’t hate dogs) but the hoops you have to jump thru to get anything done about dogs running loose is more trouble than it’s worth. Looks like the same goes for people living on your property, Darned shame!!

          Tuesday, 31 October 2017, 4:22 pm
      • I’ve heard similar about kicking renters out and squatters right.

        Tuesday, 31 October 2017, 11:04 am
      • That’s one of the BIGGEST problem with deputies in the HCSO….they make up rules, and supposedly make the laws as they go. Mostly because they just won’t do the jobs they are being PAID to do. They are NOT consistent on any one rule… :/

        Wednesday, 1 November 2017, 6:28 am
    • Never let anyone chase you out of your house. get in touch with me i’ll go put a lock on her shed.
