Selling Fireball and Vodka to Minors Lands Man Behind Bars

SPRING HILL – A local transient spent the night in jail Saturday, after officials say he purchased alcohol for two under aged individuals near a liquor store on Anderson Snow Road.

According to report, 26-year-old Clayton Butler accepted $50.00 from the two individuals in exchange for a bottle of Fireball Whiskey and Smirnoff Vodka.

Deputy Wayne Peterson made contact with Butler before the liquor made it into the minor’s hands and placed him into custody.

Butler admitted to the offense and said he just needed the money. Deputies charged Butler with one count of Selling Alcohol to a Minor and transported to the Hernando County Jail. He was released the following day without a bond.
