Senior Prank Goes Too Far for Some Weeki Wachee Freshmen

UPDATE: 5/19/2016, 6:02 P.M. – A spokesperson for the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office says there is an active investigation into the incident.

Despite claims by several parents, school officials say “There were no students injured by the senior prank that occurred today at Weeki Wachee High. With respect to school property, there was some damage to a stage curtain, however, the damage is not permanent and the school is in the process of cleaning the curtain.”

WEEKI WACHEE – High school seniors are notorious for pulling pranks on underlings, especially freshmen on Senior Prank Day. That tradition hasn’t changed much for decades but sometimes the joke goes a little too far. That’s exactly what students at Weeki Wachee High School say happened this morning and it forced some to seek medical attention.

Millie Waterman says her daughter suffered a severe allergic reaction, after being exposed to a powdery substance. Some students went home and others went to the hospital for treatment, according to Waterman, but that hasn’t been confirmed by school officials.

Waterman’s daughter says tables were stacked on top of each other and TP’d (Toilet Papered), balloons filled with powder burst around students, and Icy Hot was placed on toilet seats. She also says lube was placed in soap dispensers and deer urine sprayed all over curtains and stage props.

Waterman says her daughter is doing better and is resting.

School Officials have not returned our request for a comment on the incident.

It’s not known at this time if law enforcement was notified or if any legal action will be taken.

We will bring more on this story as it develops.

  • This is a perfect example of what is wrong with our society these days..lets arrest a few KIDS and ruin the rest of their lives, because a few parents need to get involved and start an issue because their own personal thoughts an opinions get a few likes and comments on social media. It is impossible to please every single child, everywhere. Let them be kids and let them learn on their own without trying to hurt the people around us to prove a point. Its disgusting. This is absolutely ridiculous. Worry about your own child’s gluten free food and stay out of everyone else’s way. I am embarrassed for our generation of ‘adults’.. it’s not the younger generations fault they are being taught that their opinion is all that matters. Let the teachers and the school take care of the kids the proper way..theres a reason why underage kids generally dont go to jail..but that doesn’t matter because its not YOUR problem/kid right? Sad sad sad..

  • Yo chill. It’s not like anybody died from it. Yes, there was a girl with an allergic reaction, but we all knew that there was going to be a senior prank anytime now. She wasn’t complaining like it was a crime that they did this. Its not like the seniors new that she was allergic to the stuff. It’s a new school, but it can be cleaned up. Its not like it is permanent. The funny part is, is that there is still glitter everywhere on the ground in the courtyard XD

    Tuesday, 24 May 2016, 11:16 am
  • Yes these comments from the pissed off parent and the other so called adult is totally overboard and out of line. Calling the young generation doped up and distructive & disrespectful. How can our youth ever believe in themselves when the adults turn on them call names and only want them arrested, expelled and prosecuted, punished to the full extent if the law; that the above adult comments said. Get a life n stop being a bunch of cry babies these are kids yes something was taken to far but it dont make all the kids bad. Go jump on another band wagon.

    Monday, 23 May 2016, 7:14 pm
  • Though they went a bit far, these comments are more distressing than the pranks.

    Sunday, 22 May 2016, 4:58 pm

It’s STUPID to jepardize your future for a PRANK!!!! TP’ing stuff is funny, but some of the other stuff isn’t!!! I’m SURPRISED that the admin. APPROVED the vasoline on the stairs rails, that could have been really dangerous!! Plus the Senior Prank Day on Freshmen??? What the HECK is that??? Why is that necessary??? LISTEN UP CLASS OF 2017……. There are TONS & TONS of pranks that you can do that are SAFE & FUNNY and will be remembered for a long time!!! So why dont you look into doing those????? SMH!!!!! SHAME ON THE ADMINISTRATION OF WWHS!!!

  • Congratulations to all of the Seniors for busting butt and earning your deploma. Now life is a little more serious but try to continue your education to better your future.
I have done a little toilet papering in my time. I have no halo over my head and I’m pretty sur none that has a negative post on RNRF does either.
Tom it’s nice to read a different story, Im tired of the vehicles flipping and the drug dealers and real crimes. Keep up the good work, I depend on you!

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 11:58 pm
  • Im a salty cracker. When i graduated we n i burnt the old wooden bleachers up in flames. Quite a sight. I’m salty asf. I wanna do it again. Good times.

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 9:53 pm
  • Honestly parents you arr salty asf, you probably did similar pranks your senior year, I am a freshmen and I found it amusing and cool, it didnt kill anyone and none of you parents were there so stop being so salty

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 3:54 pm

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 3:37 pm
  • The world has seen a lot worse.Didn’t these kids clean up after themselves?Get over it,Jeez!

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 1:35 pm
  • Yep, just wait until we read about these inbred students in the news in a couple of years for doing things illegal. They have no clue what they are talking about in fact they are trying to downplay what damage they did with their continued lies.
Only a couple of things were approved, and the ones who got approval also did things that they did not ask to be approved. They’ve admitted it on Facebook but yet lied to staff.
Not all seniors but all of the ones involved in this need disciplined. The parents who are backing them need to learn parenting skills. It’s parents like that which make teaching suck so much today. The kids are unruly and disrespectful but yet their moms come to school and stick up for their horrible behaviors.
This will be my last year teaching in Hernando County. I just can’t stand the school board, the superintendent and the stupid woman who always tries to pretend things are rosy, when they are poopy.

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 11:41 am
  • EVERYONE GO AND SEE THE MARY POPPINS PLAY….EXCELLENT ACTING…..VERY TALENTED STUDENTS….

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 11:13 am
  • Derek, well said but quite insensitive. Can anyone please explain where the Deer Urine came from and what was the purpose? Cmon, yea these Senior prank go as far back as I can remember and it occurs in every State. But kids, use common sense, Deer Urine, really? TP was the big thing but we never deface the school property in any way. You kids will ruin things for Senior of the future.

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 11:09 am
  • This is pathetic…. On Wednesday evening My family attended the Mary Poppins play premier which was to say the least ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. If you go and see this play you will know these kids worked extremely hard to put this play together. The props were well made and cleverly designed. To deface these props and the curtain is just total disrespect to those who care. Yes, nobody got hurt, but the fashion that was executed to committee this atrocity is uncalled for. Toilet paper is one thing, but when you go over the line by defacing property it now becomes a crime. These students should not be allowed to walk in graduation. If that was my kid he or she would be cleaning the mess along with an apology, then they would be sitting home while their peers are being handed their diplomas. Anyone who thinks this is OK, than maybe you should go to the school and assist in the cleanup. Then you can say it was nothing and that is was OK. Shame on all of you.

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 10:56 am
  • What the kids did here was not a bad thing and … Really glitter & powder is not dangerous ….smh you over protective parents !

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 10:55 am
  • Janet and all you other whiners IF you don’t like the news on this channel Please feel free to change the channel . we are tired of hearing you cry

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 10:32 am
  • The most distressing thing here, excluding the vandalism, which is a crime, is the fact that in most of the comments, the students cannot compose a sentence correctly. Spelling, usage, punctuation, all terrible, yet they are graduating! God help society!! No wonder direction sheets don’t make sense, with idiots like this writing them!

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 10:06 am
  • @Senior involved Your comment is exactly what most people commenting are talking about. Your comment is very disrespectful and shows what you have learned in high school.

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 9:21 am
  • And to Not A Springbreaker, they’re talking about this on channel 8 news so get off Toms back. If you didn’t think the article was news worthy why did you read it? Just sayin’…

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 8:18 am
  • OK seriously it’s a senior prank which is tradition no one died no one got seriously hurt. oh yeah let’s prosecute kids who are just getting ready ready to begin their lives to the fullest so their lives are ruined forever. Your brilliant I feel sorry for your kids.

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 8:13 am
  • I agree with Edward. Some of you are just ridiculous…and I think you mean, sour souls know who you are.

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 8:09 am
  • What I find more troubling than the senior pranks are the idiotic comments by you people on here.
    WOW!!!!

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 7:40 am
  • Careful which powder gets put in balloons. May 18, 2016, St. Louis, Johnson & Johnson is ordered to pay $55 million in a talcum powder side effects lawsuit, more lawsuits are being filed alleging certain talcum powders are actually dangerous products linked to ovarian cancer. The $55 million award is the second large award handed out in Johnson & Johnson talcum powder lawsuits in recent months.

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 6:52 am
    • Um Charlie, you do know what they would have to be doing with the balloons to be at risk of ovarian cancer right? lol!
Some of the people here KILL me. Yeah, take care of the idiot who sprayed deer urine. If there even was Icy hot, that’s pretty funny. No fun to have happen to you but still funny. The rest of it is no big deal. I swear we had better keep our military funded well because we are now a society of soft weaklings. Just look at so many of the comments here. Soft weak minded softies. How do some of you people handle any adversity?

      Friday, 20 May 2016, 9:46 am
  • Simple minds are easily amused!

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 6:42 am
  • I was working during the time the prank was taking place, so I shouldnt be able to walk because of them? Lmaoo youre ignorant. Most of the senior class was unaware of the prank until they got to school. The deer urine was a little much but everything including that was hilarious to walk into yesterday I thought they did a good job, and that’s coming from a kid who’s graduating top 10 percent of his class and has received multiple scholarships already, there’s nothing to do in hernando county so we’ve gotta entertain ourselves somehow lol and if you don’t like it get over it no one cares about your opinion and it’s already done with

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 6:42 am
  • The problem with pranks is what starts out as innocent gets taken too far. If these kids are not reprimanded then somewhere another group of kids will plot to outdo that prank. Pranks should not be permitted. I highly doubt the administration at WWHS gave seniors permission to do what they did. If a teacher was involved then that teacher should absolutely be reprimanded. And for all you saying it’s just a prank – get over it – kindly put your address on here and I will send a few seniors to your house so they can prank you. If you support seniors doing a prank it would be great to offer up your home and allow them to carry on their traditions. Waiting ……

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 6:08 am
  • In 10 years we’ll all be women.

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 3:36 am
  • Wow ! That’s Hernando County schools for you !

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 3:22 am
  • There was no damage obviously considering the article said so..
It’s so funny how you baby boomers sit and complain about how “ungrateful” teens are today for public school as if it’s common for kids to.be enthusiastic about school… give me a freaking break.

“This is what’s wrong with the next generation.blah.blah.blah”
Yeah.. well you can’t blame us for the economy you people destroyed in YOUR generation so looks like we both have our flaws.
It’s a senior prank and more than likely was only done by a very few.handful of students… get over it

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 2:13 am
  • People this was a prank done in fun. Im sure it brought laughter to the kids. These kids didn’t spray paint the school. Get off the negativity horse with your comments. These kids had a blast and made their peers laugh. They meant no harm. I know none of these kids that did this and at 47 years of age these pics made me laugh. Thanks for posting. You negative people and parents are pathetic and yes i would help clean up just knowing the fun these kids had. And I itch like crazy when I get near grass and get welts. Give your kids benedril for itchy powder and get over it.

    Friday, 20 May 2016, 12:12 am
  • First of all. None of the props were harmed. It was confirmed by Ms. Burburan in 7th pd voce. It was only the curtain. The powder was an itchy powder in the balloons. Some were filled with that and some were filled with glitter and some where filled with urine. There were two chickens that were fed laxitives and people used window markers. They also put Vaseline on the door nobs as long as Suran wrap the stairs. They tp the tree and had stacked the tables. Kids got on the rood and everything. There wad icy hot on the toilet seats but not every toilet seat. They put the itchy powder on some of the rails. I think im forgetting something but idk its been a long day. But my brother watched it all happen but he did not take any actions in it. Its just a prank. Get over it. At least they didn’t put the school back up for sale on eBay. Like last year. This was way better. The curtain thing was a little to far yes I agree but this is a prank the curtains aren’t damaged completely. It was just a prank chill out get over yourself and laugh a little because it was actually quite funny and its sad they canceled the rest of the pranks. As a freshman I feel that this is the best thing I’ve ever seen. And it will just only get worse???

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 10:31 pm
  • Ya’ll are retarded senior prank day has been around forever it’s the one day seniors get to go all out and have fun tough break for the kids that got sick from a powder? But kids these days are pansies anyway

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 10:19 pm
  • How did no one get hurt but a girl ended up in the hospital for an allergic reaction…..

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 10:17 pm
  • the deer urine and powder were over the top. The goal should not be to destroy school property. It’s should just be a prank…so the kids should be held responsible for the damage done to school property. But no one was hurt, thank god.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 10:10 pm
  • First how would anyone know who the people were unless someone snitched??!! Also the entire senior class can’t be held responsible because that would make no sense. There’s hundreds of people in the senior class. I highly doubt every single person in the senior class came to the school and did that stuff. So saying the senior class should get in trouble makes no sense at all. Also nothing they did is that bad. Except the deer urine that’s just weird.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 9:52 pm
  • Good for them lol ?congratulations seniors you made it!!!!

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 9:51 pm
  • I’d take most of you who are trashing these kids seriously if one, you knew how to construct a proper sentence and how to spell, and two, all of this was grossly exaggerated. Other than having several friends that participated in this prank, and knew about everything that was going on (apart from the deer pee), and knowing the prior history of RNRF, the fact that all of you all believe this is laughable. This isn’t the first time RNRF has taken the word of some random person in order to get an attention-grabbing news article out; look at their article about the BS shooting threat last year. It was something that never happened and even got them reprimanded by the Sheriff’s Office for putting out false information and using their name to try and validate it. And for all of you that say that is immature, and that they’re still kids, you’re damn right they are. They’re trying to enjoy being kids for a little while longer before they graduate and enter the real world. So get off your high horse and pretending that you were never a kid and never did anything like this. They faced the consequences, they cleaned up their mess. They’re just kids having fun, now get over it.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 9:24 pm
  • This just proves how stupid and immature pranks are.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 9:20 pm
  • The doe urine was sprayed on the stage curtains and they’re being cleaned so the show will not be affected. There’s a lot of hearsay and assumptions, these are kids, even if 18, for some this may be their first infraction, I know many adults quick to judge here are probably forgetting being young and making choices they regret. it’s unfortunate if anyone was hurt or sick from these pranks, I hope everyone is ok! None of these kids did anything to intentionally hurt anyone or anything, just pranks – if you’ve never erred I feel sorry for you, for you have no idea how to be human!

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 9:06 pm
  • Class of 2016 way to go. Best prank by far. We’re walking across that stage in a few weeks no matter what these “adults” say. To the person who said that we’re still immature children and to the person that said we broke into the school…we did not. We had permission to go through with this event. Yes the boy who went too far should be handled but stop blaming the class of 16. You are not our parents and we had fun. I mean isn’t that what our last year of highschool is about? To have fun? For the adults on here who are doing nothing but bashing us, grow up. It was a school organized event. Oh well.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 9:04 pm
  • Tom the school officials are lying again. I’m done with this place and will be looking for a job in a better district. Hernando County Schools and the “officials” suck!!

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 8:57 pm
  • Who let these kids on the property when anyone else would have been charged with trespassing? This was done in the middle of the night and the person(s) responsible for letting the kids on campus need reprimanded. They are just as bad as the kids, and if they’d have not allowed the property to be entered when it should not have been, none of this would have happened.
Glitter can be harmful to ones health as well. Between the glitter and the powder, anyone with resp problems could have been seriously injured.
Those defending these bunch of idiotic kids are a main crux of the problem. If my kids would have been involved with something like this, there’d be he&& to pay in my home! Where we the parents of these kids when they were out running around, destroying property so early in the morning (3 am)?

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 8:45 pm
  • I sincerely hope that efforts are being made for the theatre department. As a professional actor who found their home in high school theatre, it’s such a shame to see such blind destruction of property to something that is invaluable to a department.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 8:41 pm
  • every kid in that school has parents who’s hard earned tax dollars pay for all that shot so in all reality it belongs to them and is for them they can do as they please

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 8:00 pm
  • The ones that are complaining have a case of soft. Stop complaining lol

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 7:29 pm
    • Honestly how do these people get that soft? These people out here soft as pillows damn.

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 11:35 pm
  • Made my day lmao

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 7:22 pm
  • Stop acting childish okay just because some kids are raised to be sissy squares doesn’t mean everyone should live miserable a few years ago nature coast students brought chickens and cow’s in the school and let them loose and you don’t and didn’t see or hear anyone crying about that!!!! Not to mention a kid was killed in Pasco last year when a live bull ran him over as part of their senior prank and not a word no where about that for the one parent crying get over yourself it’s a prank no-one was hurt injured or died and I’m pretty sure everyone at that school was laughing having a good time besides the kids who have been raised to be miserable their entire lives just like their parents get over yourself LIVE LIFE BE HAPPY STOP CRYING ABOUT EVERYTHING if only they had this much outrage over bullying and other serious issues

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 7:01 pm
  • Crystal, please don’t tell people you received an education at WWH. We know that isn’t true after reading your run on sentence.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 6:46 pm
  • How about everybody on here admit the stupid they’ve done so everyone can judge you lol internet trolls..happens get a life6

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 6:45 pm
  • Imma just say this….it’s all fun and games till someone gets hurt…..if my child was harmed I would have harmed someone else’s…..people need to be mindful of others….now a days kids are allergic to so many different things that something could have gotten out of line…..you go to school to learn…..all the crap the school puts you through???? Foh you ungrateful punks don’t appreciate anything which is why the world is turning into what it is…..there is always an excuse…..that’s not the truth…..we cleaned it up…..nobody got hurt…. But the real excuse is that your all immature and unfortunately your parents and your school system have failed you because your supposed to know how to act when you leave school…..here you are on your exit showing your …..way to show respek to your teachers and administrators for their hard work…..smh freakin idiots. I’d smack the dog out of you all if you was mines…..

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 6:39 pm
    • And then theres this person over here threatening children. I hope your kid continues the tradition of low income and poor grammar. If you have a problem show up and protest. guaranteed you will be the minority.

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 11:33 pm
  • Looks like a blast, I’m envious as all Hell!

Only thing I don’t like about kids these days, is they don’t listen to metal!

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 6:37 pm
  • Y’all are being ridiculous. I’m a junior at the school. The senior prank was perfect. they even cleaned up their own mess! A small group of kids did the deer pee, just because some stupid idiots screwed up doesn’t mean the entire senior class should be judged. There wasn’t any icy hot or itchy powder so idk where you get your information. I appauld the class of 2016, you have set the bar very high in hernando county

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 6:31 pm
    • I so agree! When I have kids I can’t wait to help plan their senior pranks with them. Its gonna be a great time.

      Friday, 20 May 2016, 1:49 am
  • Omg there kids its a prank, relax call off the f##king fire squad and a life ppl.omg glitter is dangerous are you serious,i think ppl as stupid as you are more dangerous, wow

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 6:05 pm
  • The police were involved. A Kid with GPA of 4.0 and scholarships will not be walking with his class and probably lose his scholarship for Destroying the auditorium drapes with deer pissed. Also in the drama roo. Which was trashed. There was icy hot and plastic on the toilet seats and some kind of itch powder. You can’t make this shit up. Seniors are jusy pissed bc they took it to far. Putting some kind of Vaseline or something on the handle bars that could have caused kids to fall down stairs. Thousands of dollars just from the drapes alone were ruined. The police were involved and the kids that did this and went over board. Putting other kids at risk. Costing the school money. I hope they do pay for it and they have to pay for what they ruined. No they shouldn’t be able to walk. I’d beat my kids if they did that.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 5:59 pm
    • Doing a little prank shouldn’t stop a student from graduating. That is ridiculous! Some students took it too far and they should be held accountable for it, but they should still be able to walk. Keep in mind that the school KNEW that they were doing all this. They are the ones who let them into the school and do this. I understand that you’d punish your kids for it, but hold them back from graduating is a little too far, don’t you think. I’m a junior at the school and what I saw was everyone having fun that morning. I came to school not feeling well and it lifted my day. It made many kids happy at the sense of humor our school has. If the school and administration didn’t want this happening, do you really think they would’ve let them in the school. They had the seniors clean it up, I think that is the important part. They actually took care of what they did. Yes, they ruined the curtains, but then again, the school knew it. If the school really wanted to punish them, they would’ve. So I think that a little prank shouldn’t stop them from graduating high school. I mean they were just having fun. It was all for laughs.

      Tuesday, 24 May 2016, 8:33 pm
  • I’m a student at the highschool and I witnessed the entire morning. The deer urine, itch powder, icy hot, and toilet paper issues were all trur. However; not all of the seniors should be held accountable. They had the idea to wrap the place in plastic wrap, toilet paper, and litter it with some fun glitter-filled balloons (that were everywhere.) It was a good morning, all units we learned that a presumably small group of kids ruined the prank with the terrors listed above.

The seniors let us have fun and play around instead of being gloomy and tired. Whomever is responsible– which I assure you is not the entire senior class– should be punished for what they did. Icy hot on toilet seats and water fountains, deer urine on the curtains and in the fountains are a few of the worst things you could do to people. It’s childish.

Very basically: don’t blame a whole group just because a few underclassmen decide to ruin what they planned.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 5:54 pm
  • Most of this isn’t true and exaggerated! Next time get the facts straight and have an actual reliable source before you make a news article!

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 5:35 pm
    • Really? Okay. Ask any student that was there today and they would all say the same thing. This is not exaggerated.

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 7:28 pm
    • It’s not that exaggerated, but all of these people commenting are exaggerating though! It really isn’t that big of a deal. One student took it too far with the deer urine, but the article said that they put Icy Hot on the toilets and lube in the soap dispensers and that wasn’t true at all. The only other thing they did that they didn’t put in this article was tape “CO16” on the wall above the cafeteria and taped two doors of the cafeteria shut. The itching powder on my point of view was going too far as well, but then again, it’s not nearly as bad as the deer urine on the curtains, considering that there was a Mary Poppens play occurring the week after. Other than that, it isn’t really that exaggerated than you think.

      Tuesday, 24 May 2016, 8:23 pm
  • Way to have a blast kiddos for a well earned moment…congrats class of 2016 hornets….I apologize for all of the kill joys commenting on this article…..

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 5:30 pm
    • good laugh, You took the words out of my mouth. LOL

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 6:22 pm
  • They also brought chickens to the school, some students said that they saw the chickens it was on Snapchat stories and everything . the thing about the props isn’t true, but the curtains are and there’s rumors of them putting clay inside the instruments. The powder was itching powder or corn starch. Teachers were livid, if it were me, I would hold the entire senior class accountable.

    • Our picnics gone. We’re all getting punished because of them.

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 8:18 pm
      • That really sucks and I am sorry for your classmates actions, Im so happy I am graduated, this stupid.

        Friday, 20 May 2016, 1:46 am
      • The picnic is still happening so idk what you’re listening to. Every senior is going to the picnic if they didn’t get expelled or written up

        Tuesday, 24 May 2016, 8:14 pm
    • The seniors did stay back after 1st period and helped clean it all up, but it only took about 20 minutes. It really isn’t that big of a deal though

      Tuesday, 24 May 2016, 8:16 pm
  • Pranks that prove they are still immature children.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 5:17 pm
  • 2013 class was told if we did any senior prank we be expelled but there aloud too

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 5:04 pm
    • Did you get expelled? you obivously dont know the proper iteration of “allowed”

      Friday, 20 May 2016, 2:05 pm
  • People need to stop getting their panties panties in a bunch. Yes, it was a prank. Yes, some of the things probably went too far. Make them clean it up and give them some lunch detention, and move on. I swear to God, people are so PC today that they lose their mind every time someone gets offended. That’s life. If you’re having fun, it is pretty likely to be at someone else’s expense. Think about it.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 4:58 pm
    • I would like to take pride in the school I work and these little jack wipes have ruined many of things, to include lives, livelihood and our school.
Educators are upset and rightfully so. The parents defending these actions are such a huge part of the problem with kids nowadays. There is no excuse for what happened today and a things need looked into deeper.
Thanks jack wipes for ruining so much for so many, now and in the future.

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 8:55 pm
      • You’re dumb because your bosses approved this. If you have a problem see management.Until then you’re gonna have to put up with what your supervisors allow. You probably teach english or something you’re a real softy.Your kids probably hate you.

        Thursday, 19 May 2016, 11:27 pm
      • Wow. Nice to know that you think of us as Jack Wipes. What a great teacher

        Tuesday, 24 May 2016, 8:06 pm
  • u forgot about the chickens eating popcorn in the front office

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 4:55 pm
  • No no one died but aren’t there little kids that go to that school also. Kids or not let that be your child or you. Now I’m not saying they should be arrested or anything like that and Senior Pranks is something that has been going on for a long long time but most of them are 18 and should think about things that could cause consequences

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 4:38 pm
  • Just so everyone is aware, the only thing that was “overboard” and ACTUALLY HAPPENED was the deer pee, there was no lube or icyhot, the balloons were filled with glitter ? ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING except for the pee was approved by our administration and the seniors are the ones who cleaned their mess up. And the only ones who are being punished are the ones who did something not approved, the pee, other than that RNRF and all of you saying how we “don’t respect our school” or we are a “doped up generation” don’t even have any idea what you’re talking about in the first place.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 4:36 pm
  • Alexandria they’re talking about people doing senior pranks for decades, not only at WWH…. Lol…

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 4:32 pm
  • The kids broke into the school and should be prosecuted accordingly. Damage was done and they should be held responsible. Not all the facts in this story are correct but the curtains were damaged. Pranks typically are fun in nature and dont harm anything or anyone. This was just inexcusable and out of line

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 4:30 pm
  • Glitter thrown around is dangerous. Especially to the eyes and lungs. Nasty stuff. Dumb, dumb destructive kids.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 4:27 pm
    • Yes it is and apparently not many people realize this. Glitter can be deadly to some people!!

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 8:51 pm
  • We did clean up the mess lol . And there was no icy hot nor lube in the bathroom, because the hallways were all locked and it was impossible for us to do that. Therefore, get your facts straight. Stop making it seem like what we did was such a bad thing, when we GOT APPROVAL from admin that we could TP, saran wrap, and blow up balloons for our senior prank. Smh.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 4:23 pm
  • These kids don’t appreciate the expensive state of the art school they are lucky enough to go to. What a bunch of idiots and the chick who organized it is trouble. Drug test her.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 4:23 pm
  • The admin who approved this needs demoted. I send my kids to school to learn not to have a bunch of disrespectful immature punks mess things up for future kids. The organizer knows more then she’s saying. Little punk brat that she is.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 4:20 pm
  • Okay. What this article doesn’t tell you is the whole truth. Yes a student went to far with the urine and the props but all the test of this was okayed. There was no lube in the soap dispensers or icy hot on the toilet seats. The powder that people got exposed to want even powder. It was sparkles. So maybe you should know what your talking about and get all the facts before posting.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 4:19 pm
  • Seriously people this whole story in about one pissed off mother!!!!! This is a tradition for seniors . I see no big deal besides the urine of course

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 4:14 pm
    • It is NOT the tradition for students to destroy property. I hope you don’t have kids and if you do, God bless them with a mother with this kind of thinking. I’d be a pissed off mother too, if my child was harmed by such idiotic actions.

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 8:50 pm
      • I’m sure the powder, was baby powder and the medical attention wa sprobably asthma attacks. I mean do I agree to that exactly? no, but I would say on behalf of the seniors the “injuries” were accidental, they didnt boobietrap the school

        Friday, 20 May 2016, 1:43 am
  • Plus underclassmen came to the school to and did stuff not only seniors

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 4:07 pm
  • We did clean up and not every one is bad only a handful of people did this stuff so I love how people assume that everyone is bad no I don’t think so but thanks for trying I have respect for the people who have it for me and custodians didn’t touch anything so cool people and yes legal action was taken after they were expelled

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 4:06 pm
    • It takes longer then a few hours to expel a student. Just saying.

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 8:48 pm
  • The kids who made the mess should be responsible for cleaning up the mess, not the custodians, js.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 3:56 pm
    • I was apart of this and actually all the seniors that did this helped clean it up not the custodians. All they did was get us trash bags to put stuff in so you obviously didn’t go to weeki wachee.

      Friday, 19 May 2017, 1:35 pm
  • Just saying, Weeki Wachee high school hasn’t even been around for a decade. The school didn’t even open until 2010.
Get the facts real new real fast.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 3:54 pm
  • Stage props and costumes are costly. They should be charged with a crime. They destroyed property that did not belong to them. We all know nothing will happen because this county lets repeat criminals to keep committing crimes. At least make them pay for the damage.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 3:51 pm
  • Lol

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 3:49 pm
  • They r kids people, let them be and stop over exaggerating the situation!

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 3:46 pm
    • Let me finish your sentence for you….They are kids who deserve to be arrested and hopefully learn not to be so frickin’ stupid as they age. Property was damaged, how is the situation being exaggerated?

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 8:47 pm
      • Everything done was okayed by the school excluding the deer urine and vaseline on the door handles. The school was 100% aware that this was going to happen. So these kids did the right thing and got permission but the kids who did things that werent permitted were reprimanded. P.S. You’re a

        Thursday, 19 May 2016, 11:20 pm
      • really, a curtain was damaged by urine. the schoolw asnt set on fire, dumby. Goodness. It’s not the end of the world. the school is still standing. Do, I think they went a little overboard yes. I am in college now and graduated from that school. I am def not a brat who takes everything for granted or was handed everything but I would of helped. This one was for the books. and the more this is posted and shared and commented the more proud those kids are. Because this is what they wanted something that later in life, they can look up and say , look I helped that.

        Friday, 20 May 2016, 1:40 am
  • Overboard? Yes. Does the hernando county school system deserve it? Hell YES!

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 3:46 pm
Second time I’ve personally had a problem with RNRF getting their facts wrong.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 3:25 pm
    • I popped a balloon this morning with powder in it.It was itching powder…I would know

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 9:48 pm
  • Icy hot, now that’s funny. …

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 3:12 pm
    • Put some on your nads and let us all laugh at you, you moron.

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 8:45 pm
  • OH, THE HUMANITY! Drama, Drama, Drama!

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 3:07 pm
  • The party involved should be expelled, failed and arrested.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 2:58 pm
  • EEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW the deer urine is the worst part! Hope they are reprimanded.. but what do they care?? they’re graduating.. Hope the kids are ok from ??? powder…

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 2:51 pm
    • You should have smelled the cafeteria during lunch. They left out the part about the chickens and the entire school being covered in glitter

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 5:33 pm
    • The powder was glitter. we filled balloons with glitter. Lol at “powdery substance” we’re seniors not crack heads.

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 11:17 pm
  • Students today are so ungrateful for anything. This is a new school and I hope the kids are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, unlike when seniors did so much damage to Central High School in 2001. If the law doesn’t do something, it sends a bad word out to every other student, just like the 2001 incident did.
I’m glad my kids learned to have respect for others and things that do not belong to them. The younger generation are horrible, for the parenting skills I’ve seen are disgusting.
But then again what do we expect, with a generation of doped up babies, and these kids are included in that group.

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 2:51 pm
    • Jeez you’ve got your butthole so puckered up your farting out your mouth!

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 6:55 pm
    • Give me a break. This was a school prank. The deer urine was done by one person only, that person should have to pay for the damage, but not be arrested. Come on Parents you pulled pranks too. As far as the Sheriffs Office investigating a bunch of Seniors, I think they should investigating the sex offender who came to my window and jerked off. 5th time this black male, bald, 5’7 to 5’8 age 25 to early 30s, showed up on Landover blvd. Hernando Sheriff investigate that so people can feel safe in there home.

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 8:56 pm
    • I completely agree, these kids are the same people who turn out as bad influences on the few who are clearly going places. There are some kids in this world who can’t even get a pencil or even get an education and you see how ungrateful this next generation is becoming, it’s because the parents give them everything as soon as they want it. It’s the kids that got an I-phone when they were nine who turn into selfish and ungrateful brats.

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 9:27 pm
    • Yo clearly didn’t have friends when you were in school? and clearly had a childhood learn to have some fun. The deer urine was the only thing that went to car but why destroy someone’s life because of a little senior prank. Nothing and I mean nothing was ruined. Yeah a lot of things needed cleaning but oh well welcome to life. I’m 20 I didn’t graduate high school I have my own house already I work a full time job and drive a 04 lexus sc430. I respect my stuff and everyone else’s but these kids were having fun. I know how hard life is first hand with no diploma I thank God every day I never got arrested cause I would not be where I’m at today. Why do something like that to these kids. P.s I’m almost possitive RNRF doesn’t have all the facts here because they never do the fact they said the school didn’t comment to them tells me they’re picking and jabbing at this “story” so grow tf up.

      Saturday, 20 May 2017, 12:15 pm
  • Get over it, no body died

    Thursday, 19 May 2016, 2:31 pm
    • Wow, Breaking news. Student tripped over TP @ now has hemorrhoids. No offence Tom but it can get better than this. LOL

      Thursday, 19 May 2016, 6:13 pm
      • This is par for the course with RNRF “reporting”
