Separate Motorcycle Crashes Injures Three, Two Seriously

SPRING HILL – Separate motorcycle crashes injured at least three people on Commercial Way.

Firefighters are on scene of a two-vehicle crash in front of the Outback Steakhouse, just south of Northcliffe Blvd on Commercial Way, where two people may have suffered traumatic injuries. Both patients will be transported to Bayonet Point Hospital for treatment.

There is road blockage in the inside lanes of both northbound and southbound Commercial Way.

Fire Rescue responded to an earlier accident at Commercial Way and Toucan Trail, where a man in his mid-sixties suffered traumatic injuries, after he lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle.

Witnesses say the man suffered head trauma and may have severed one of his legs.

We will bring more on these stories if new information develops.

  • Every time there is an accident, people slow down to a halt in an attempt to get a glimpse of some grotesque scene. It really shows just how foul our specie can be, there were people there that outright stopped to get a good look, it slowed down traffic a lot. One fellow even stopped to have a conversation with the guy directing traffic. It is not a tourist attraction, it is a tragedy.

I know if it were one of my family members, I wouldn’t want a bunch of people filling their morbid desires staring at their lifeless body for their own amusement.

  • Actually in the second story, the man is in his mid fifties, and he didn’t lose control of his motorcycle, he was hit by a vehicle.

You guys should practice sending out accurate news instead of trying to be the first to report on an incident.

    • You obviously have no morals or a brain. Just because someone rides a bike doesn’t mean they should die. You make it sound like bikers are always at fault have you seen the way some people drive around here?

        Friday, 12 January 2018, 1:25 pm
        • You do not need to apologize for me. My statement is pretty clear, I never placed fault, I never never said women can not ride and I’m surely not lacking a brain. If people want to keep riding motorcycles, they really shouldn’t be surprised when an accident result in death.
