Sheriff’s Deputy, Local Graduate, Dies in Patrol Car Crash
PERRY (TAYLOR COUNTY) – A Taylor County Sheriff’s Deputy died this morning, after officials say he crashed his patrol car on US-19.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Deputy Scott Williams was on his way to work around 7:00 a.m. this morning, when he rear-ended a logging truck at the intersection of Beach Road.
Williams died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.
Friends of Williams say he was a graduate of Hernando High School.
