Spring Hill Woman Faces Murder Charge After Leaving Infant Inside Hot Car
UPDATE: 6:35 P.M. – Officials have confirmed that Moyer is charged with 3rd Degree Murder. If convicted, Moyer could face up to 15-years behind bars, not including potential penalties for the additional charges.
BROOKSVILLE – An arrest has been made in the case of 9-month old Keyton O’Callaghan; the infant who died after being left inside a hot car for several hours last August.
According to the Hernando County Detention Center website, 38-year-old Cami Lee Moyer is charged with Homicide, Child Neglect with Great Bodily Harm, and Child Neglect without Great Bodily Harm. Moyer is currently held without bond.
Moyer was taken into custody earlier this month for violating her probation and was in custody when investigators issued the new charges.
Officials have not released a statement at this time.
