Suspect Captured After Friday’s Search – Reverse 911 Warned Residents

SPRING HILL – The Sheriff’s Office has not released an official report, but according to jail records, the man suspected of threatening his wife with a shotgun and then fleeing from deputies Friday, is behind bars.

53-year-old Paul W. Chapman disappeared from his residence at 3363 Milligan Street Friday, after sources say he chased his wife around the street with a shotgun and then threatened to commit suicide by cop. Chapman fled the area before deputies arrived, resulting in a massive search, including a reverse 911 call to nearby residents, warning them of the armed and dangerous suspect.

Chapman was arrested early this morning and charged with Battery and Simple Assault. He is held without bond at this time.
