Suspected Drunk Driver Collides with Tree – Witness Records Aftermath (VIDEO)
SPRING HILL – Earlier this afternoon, Fire Rescue responded to the intersection of Van Allen Way and Lawler Street, after reports of a single vehicle accident into a tree.
Before the first responders arrived on the scene, several bystanders ran to the aid of at least three people who sustained minor injuries in the crash.
According to one witness, who wished to remain anonymous, the driver appeared intoxicated and was arguing with bystanders over what caused the accident. That same witnessed provided RNRF with a short video of what he witnessed just moments after the crash. CLICK HERE TO WATCH VIDEO.
In that video, the driver, later identified as 25-year-old Michael Paul Williams, admits to driving at least 50 mph in what is presumed to be a 25 – 35 mph zone.
According to jail records, Williams is behind bars at this time but his charges have not been updated.
All of the occupants refused medical treatment at the scene.
