Tip Leads Investigators to Possible Body Buried in Green Key Park

UPDATE: 1:15 P.M. – After an exhaustive search of Green Key Park, no body has been located and the park will be reopening.
The validity of the tipster’s is still being investigated.

We expect nothing more in this at time.

NEW PORT RICHEY (PASCO) – For two days investigators with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, New Port Richey Police, and a USF forensic anthropology team have been searching Green Key Park for a body they believe may be buried inside the park.

Officials say they received a tip that led to the search but they aren’t releasing details into the case at this time.

Authorities closed Green Key Park yesterday and it remains closed today, while investigators conduct their search.

  • Seen those cadaver dogs in action, our neighbors inlaws used to train them. They would train/test them sometimes at our neighbors farm. They are not that accurate, all kinds of false alarms.

  • There are multiple cadaver dogs available to agencies in Florida. Wouldnt it of been easier to run one of these dogs through the area?

  • Just read this online at posted at 12:18 NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office has wrapped up a search for body that was reportedly located within Robert K. Rees Memorial Park. Deputies say the “exhaustive” search ended with no body found.

    The park, which is also known as Green Key Park, was closed to the public during the search. The sheriff’s office announced just after noon on Nov. 19 that the park would be reopening shortly.
