Two Airlifted to Trauma Center After Vehicle Collides with Tree

BROOKSVILLE – Fire Rescue in on the scene of a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Mcintyre Road and Mondon Hill Road, where at least two people are reported injured.

According to sources, a pickup truck collided with a tree at that intersection and may have ejected at least one person.

There are unconfirmed reports that two male victims, aged 60 and 65, have suffered traumatic injuries and will be airlifted to a local trauma center for treatment. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Two helicopters will be arriving on scene, which could cause substantial traffic delays in the area.

This is very tragic he had over came many things I wouldn’t ever of guessed this is what would end his life.God bless his family.   • Thank you to everyone who helped at the accident and has sent well wishes. Kim is my brother who was in this accident with Doug. My family loved Doug and we are so saddened that he didn’t make it. Kim is still in the hospital badly banged up, but he will heal in time. Thank you again, our families appreciate everyone’s kindness and help.

  • I was about the 3rd person to arrive at the accident. Before paramedics got there me and two others helped the first victim he was more than half way ejected from the truck. It was horrible, a tire blew and caused the accident. Everyone please pray for these men. It was one of the most traumatic experiences I’ve ever been involved in. ?
