Two Injured in Two Vehicle Crash, Inverness Blvd and S. Florida Ave

INVERNESS – Two people were injured in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Inverness Blvd. and S. Florida Ave.

Three lanes were shutdown on S. Florida Ave., after two cars collided. Both drivers sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Ramos tells RNRF that the Blue Prius attempted to turn northbound onto US-41 from Inverness Blvd. and collided with the Lincoln Continental.

The driver of Driver of the Lincoln appeared incoherent as paramedics rushed to get her out of the passenger side door. The woman appeared to have injuries to her head, face, and legs and was not able to stand.
