Two Alleged Spring Hill Robberies Under Investigation
SPRING HILL – Two alleged strong armed robberies occurred today, leaving investigators with more questions into what actually happened – or didn’t happen.
According to sources, a man walked into the Bank of America located at 6023 on Spring Hill Drive this morning, and told employees that he was being forced to withdraw cash by several armed suspects waiting in a nearby vehicle.
Dozens of heavily armed deputies rushed to the scene and made contact with the alleged victim who was still inside the bank.
Meanwhile, deputies searched the area for a vehicle matching the description provided by the victim.
At this time, officials will only say that the case is under investigation; however, there are unconfirmed reports that suspicious circumstances surround the incident.
Later this afternoon, Deputies responded to Bayfront Health Spring Hill, after a man reported that he had been robbed by three individuals.
Once again, deputies began searching the area for the vehicle that was supposedly used by the assailants.
A witness at the scene claims they saw the alleged victim being handcuffed and placed into the rear of a patrol car, however, that information has not been confirmed.
Officials have not commented further on either case.
