  • The tree is in the median, I live right by the tree. You can drive past the tree going towards 19 and see exactly where the car hit. I saw the crash after it happened and to do that much damage at that angle he had to have swerved out of the way of something, whether it be a car or a kid on a bike. Hope the passengers made it out okay. The tree will be A-okay, I don’t see why people are more concerned about the tree………

  • I am pretty sure that this is the tree that is located in the median on Spring Hill Dr. I grew up right there, and I’ve seen many people hit these trees. All it takes is for somebody to stop short in front of you, pull out in front of you, or some rain on the road and you can have a collision. (40/45 mph zone)

    • That tree is NOT IN THE MEDIAN, it is actually
in a persons yard on the corner of Cobblestone &
Spring Hill Dr.. In fact, the house you see in the
background up on the hill, is the same house of
the couple who was the FIRST murder victim of
the “SERIAL” killer we had here back in the 90’s!!
He was working for his dad doing odd jobs at
elderly persons homes!! Once LE learned who he
was (he lived with his parents on Spring Hill Dr),
LE blocked off a large section of Spring Hill Dr.
There was a standoff between him and LE,
the man eventually committed suicide as I
recall. He chose his victims because they knew
him & his father, that was how he gained entry
into their homes, they TRUSTED him!!
God rest their precious souls. 🙁

      • PS
I could be mistaken, but it sure looks
like the same house to me…

  • Looks Residental, speed limits are usually 30 mph, the truck looks badly damaged to be going at that speed.
Prayers sent to those injured as well as prayers sent to their loved ones.
