Video Captured of Armed Man Arguing Outside Local Convenience Store
SPRING HILL – A man armed with what appears to be a semi-automatic rifle was arrested last night, after witnesses say he was arguing with several subjects outside a convenience store on Spring Hill Drive.
Around 11:30 p.m. last night, Pierre Eloius says he pulled up to the Circle K at Spring Hill Drive and Mariner Blvd, where he noticed a man arguing with two other individuals. Moments later, Eloius says the man retrieved a gun from his car and continued to argue with the other individuals for about 5 minutes. “About 10 police cars showed up,” says Eloius, and took the man into custody.
Eloius tells RNRF that a woman and child were in the suspect’s vehicle at the time of the incident.
The suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Alexander Joseph Garcia of Spring Hill, and he is currently held at the Hernando County Jail on probation violations out of Pasco County – which include carrying a concealed weapon. Garcia is held on a $10,000 bond at this time.
A spokesperson with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office says the case is still open and they cannot comment on the details.
It is unknown if Garcia will face additional charges.
Eloius posted video of the incident on social media which can be viewed by clicking here or below.
