Video Shows Moment Deputies and Bystander Struck by Vehicles

LAND O’ LAKES (PASCO) – Last week, RNRF reported on the increasing use of body worn cameras (BWC) by law enforcement agencies around Florida. Although some agencies, like the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, say it’s an invasion of privacy, most agencies see it as an invaluable piece of evidence that can be used to protect both the officers and citizens during interactions. Today, Pasco County Officials released BWC video from yesterday’s vehicle accident in Land O’ Lakes that injured two deputies and a bystander. The dramatic video clearly shows the dangers law enforcement face when working traffic accidents on busy roadways.

  • And of course our sheriff DOESN’T see how these would help our deputies….smh. Time for him to go. Clearly he’s got wayyy too much to cover up in his dept. Enough said.

    I pray that everyone involved in that accident will be ok…
