Violent Altercation Leaves Man Bloodied, Battered, and Behind Bars
SPRING HILL – A Weeki Wachee man is behind bars today, after violent confrontation left him bloodied, bruised and facing several felony charges.
According to witnesses, an altercation occurred outside a residence on Pickford Street between 36-year-old Ryan Quinn Buchholtz and at least one other person. Deputies responded to the scene after 911 operators received reports of at least one gunshot being heard in the area. Upon arrival, sources say Buchholtz tried to leave the scene in a gray pickup truck. Buchholtz refused to comply with commands and tried to drive off, despite being held at gunpoint. Buchholtz eventually surrendered and was taken into custody. Buchholtz appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs according to witnesses.
Fire Rescue responded to the scene due to Buchholtz suffering several injuries during the earlier altercation. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment and then booked into the Hernando County Jail.
Buchholtz is charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, armed burglary, and fleeing to elude. He is currently held on a $14,000 bond.
There were no other reports of injuries.
