Violent Offender with Numerous Arrests Punches Store Manager, Kicks Out Patrol Car Window
SPRING HILL – A violent offender with more than 12 arrests in Hernando County alone is behind bars again, after he punched a store manager and damaged a patrol car.
According to reports, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Speedway gas station located 4159 Mariner Blvd, after reports of a physical disturbance.
Officials say 27-year-old Anthony Richard Casiello was arguing with another customer when the store manager asked him multiple times to leave. Casiello attempted to walk behind the register but when store manager tried to stop him, Casiello punched him in the face.
Casiello was arrested and placed in the back of a patrol car, where he proceeded to kick out a rear window with his feet.
While en route to the jail, Casiello stated, “I do this stuff for fun, a criminal mischief charge aint nothin to me.”
A search of Casiello’s record revealed a dozen arrests since 2010, including charges of armed robbery, battery, aggravated battery, resisting arrest, discharging a firearm, battery on a pregnant woman, drug possession, shoplifting, and larceny. Despite the numerous violent offenses, Casiello spent less than 2-years in state prison.
Casiello is currently held on $4,000 bond at the Hernando County Jail.
