Weeki Wachee, Hernando dropped again
By Danny Aiello Jr
Hudson ran the ball 40 times for 307 yards, most of which came in the second half, as the Cobras beat Weeki Wachee Friday night, 23-13.
Hudson (1-1) scored first, when Drake Carson scooped up a Hornet fumble and took it 66-yards to the house.
Weeki Wachee (1-2) would answer on a 1-yard sneak by QB Alec Cromie, but Cromie wasn’t enough to carry the Hornet offense.
The junior signal-caller was 13 of 27 through the air, finding Arrow Alvarez four times for 61 yards.
Hudson would find more running room in the second half, led by Billy Werner and his 156 yards.
QB Nate Munson added 107 rushing yards of his own, allowing the Cobras to seal the game away.
