Derek’s Breakdown: In the short history of Weeki Wachee’s program, the Hornets have never defeated the storied Hernando program. That could change Fright night. The Leopards travel to the Hornet’s Nest midway through a tough campaign. One of the bright spots has been the senior combination of Christian Dowdell and Jacob Valentino in the backfield. However, Weeki Wachee’s passing attack, led by junior Alec Cromie, can be high-powered. Hernando is going to have a difficult time limiting the Hornets’ spread offense.

Danny’s Breakdown: Coming off a thumping at the hands of Nature Coast, Weeki Wachee has the perfect opportunity for a win this week. Hernando has had a rough go of things this season, and if Cromie and the Hornets can take down the Leopards, they will find themselves in control of their own destiny. A win here puts Weeki Wachee at 3-1 in the district, and by winning out, they can clinch a spot in the postseason.
