Woman Accused of Throwing Knives During Domestic Dispute
SPRING HILL – Deputies responded to Bridgewater Club Apartments Tuesday evening, after reports of a domestic disturbance between a woman and two other relatives.
According to officials, 48-year-old Delana Maria Clark began arguing with her mother, Sylvia Clark, when Delana struck her mother in the arm. Sylvia’s grandson, Christian Fitzpatrick witnessed the incident and grabbed Delana to prevent further violence. During the struggle, Delana picked up an ashtray and threw it at Christian – striking him in the hip. Delana then retrieved several knives from the kitchen and began throwing them at Christian, while stating she wanted to “Kill him.” Christian ran down a hallway and locked himself in his bedroom, until law enforcement arrived on the scene.
During their investigation, deputies located three kitchen knives lying on the floor, in the area where they were reportedly thrown.
Delana denied hitting her mother, throwing the knives, or threatening anyone in the home, despite evidence and victim testimony.
Delana was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault – one count enhanced, due the victim being over the age of 65. She remains behind bars – held on a $4,000 bond.
