Woman Arrested for Misuse of 911, “Stolen” Items Found Inside Her Residence
SPRING HILL – A woman is behind bars this evening after officials say she called 911 several times to complain about Sheriff’s Deputies.
According to reports, 49-year-old Cathy Jacobs initially called the Sheriff’s Office to report that several items had been stolen from her residence on Thunderbird Ave. After completing their investigation, it was determined that the issue was civil and not something that law enforcement could handle that evening.
After deputies left her residence, Jacobs called 911 several times to complain about the deputies and then proceeded to scream obscenities and threaten to sue the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies returned to Jacobs residence and placed her under arrest of misusing the 911 system. Jacobs, who was “clearly intoxicated,” according to deputies, continued her irrational behavior by making racist remarks and calling for an “Internal Affairs investigation.”
Prior to being transported to the jail, Jacobs asked if deputies would turn off her stove. While inside the residence, deputies discovered the items that Jacobs said were stolen in her original complaint.
Jacobs remains behind bars on a $500 bond.
