Woman Leads Deputies on High-Speed Pursuit Before Crashing into Patrol Car
UPDATE: 5:07 P.M. – Officials have now revealed the suspect’s identity as 34-year-old Nichole Elizabeth Lester of Hudson.
According to officials, Lester fled from deputies after receiving information that she was selling narcotics and driving on a suspended license.
Officials say Lester tried to run over a deputy in an attempt to avoid spike strips. Deputies also witnessed Lester throwing what is believed to be narcotics out of the vehicle and eating handfuls of pills.
Lester also struck a patrol car before her vehicle came to rest in a tree line.
Lester is charged with Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Battery on LEO, Fleeing to Elude, Resisting Arrest, Tampering with Evidence, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Deputies also discovered two stun guns inside the vehicle.
Lester is being treated at a local hospital due to ingesting numerous pills.
PORT RICHEY (PASCO) – At least one person is in custody after a woman led Sheriff’s Deputies on a high-speed pursuit through several densely populated neighborhoods.
According to witnesses, a woman was seen throwing what appeared to be drugs out the window, while several patrol cars pursued her through subdivisions.Witnesses say the chase began in the Gulf Highlands Neighborhood and finally came to an end at the intersection of Mark Twain Lane and Fox Hollow Drive, where she crashed into a tree.
One witnesses observed the woman eating “drugs” before being taken into custody. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
