Woman Tests Trespass Warning and Loses – No Stranger to LEO
BROOKSVILLE – A woman recently trespassed from Oak Park Apartments challenged that order with Brooksville Police Officers this morning – and lost.
According to officials, Police issued a trespass warning to 20-year-old Samantha Alicia Smith on October 23rd, preventing her from being on the property located at 460 Hale Ave.
Early this morning, Officers spotted Smith standing on the corner of the complex, violating the order. Once Smith noticed the approaching Police Officers she jumped back onto the roadway. Due to her violating the order, Smith was placed into custody and booked into the Hernando County Jail.
RNRF caught up with Smith on a separate occasion last year, when she was pulled over for driving a stolen car at the intersection of Spring Hill Drive and Barclay Ave. Since that arrest in June of 2014, Smith has been arrested three additional times on charges of Larceny, Failure to Appear, and Violating Probation.
In addition to the Trespass violation, Smith faces Retail Theft Charges from an unrelated incident. Smith remains behind bars, held on a $3,000 bond.
