Woman’s Back Fractured During Domestic Dispute
SPRING HILL – Deputies responded to Bayfront Health Spring Hill Sunday, where a woman claimed she was injured after a physical altercation with her husband.
According to reports, Jennifer Collins and her husband Sean Collins had just returned from a family function when the couple began arguing. The victim says she started to walk away, when her husband grabbed both her arms, slammed her into the wall and then onto a bed. Jennifer says she slapped Sean several times in self-defense, during the altercation.
After a thorough examination, doctors discovered three fractured vertebrae in Jennifer’s back.
During an interview, Sean says he pushed his wife to get away from her because she started the physical altercation.
Deputies made the decision to arrest Collins based on “visible injuries” and “The victim’s statement.”
Collins is charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery and is currently free on a $5,000 bond.
