41 Arrests During Two-Day Multi-Agency Operation
HERNANDO – Local Law Enforcement continue their efforts to clean up neighborhoods and rid communities of drug dealers – and their perseverance has not gone without reward.
According to a statement released by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, three men face numerous drug and violent felony charges, after a raid on Twigg Street last Thursday.
According to reports, Deputies responded to 852 Twigg Street in an attempt to locate wanted person, 46-year-old Leroy Goodson. When deputies arrived, a male, matching the description provided for one of the Wanted Persons, fled from the rear of the residence. Additional units, including a K-9 team, were waiting at the rear of the residence. When Goodson failed to comply with lawful orders to stop running, Deputy Jeff Andrews deployed his canine partner, Valor. Goodson was promptly apprehended by Valor but not without sustaining several dog bites as a result. Goodson was transported to a local hospital for treatment, before being booked into the County Jail.
While on the scene, two additional fugitives were located inside the home. Officials say, 24-year-old Willie Joe Frazier and 19-year-old David Thomas Williams were arrested and booked on various felony charges.
Goodson is charged with Possession and Sales of Cocaine (warrant), Resisting Arrest, Battery (Warrant), and Child Neglect.
Frazier is charged with Felony Domestic Battery and Aggravated Battery.
Williams is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Weapon and Grand Theft Auto.
But officials say Goodson, Frazier, and Williams are only three of 41 total arrests made during the two-day operation.
The following results were logged, according to officials:
- Traffic Stops – 146
- Citations Issued – 56
- Arrests Made – 41.
The following illegal narcotics were located and removed from the streets of Hernando County:
- Methamphetamine – 67.41 grams
- Marijuana – 45.11 grams
- Cocaine – 5.03 grams
- Mushrooms – 21.14
- Hydrocodone Pills – 7.

The way I see it is if all the drug traffic is on Twigg street why not let them be. If you leave them alone they will sell drugs in their own neighborhood hence they’ll stay out of mine . Sounds kind of simple to keep all the rotten eggs are confined to one basket. And one more thing, you’ll always know where they are when you need to round them up.
But I’m sure they still collect their EBT and government assistance checks because of their ” minority status” I just can’t believe the race card hasn’t been used yet, oh wait they are saving that for trial with their public pretender that we pay for also!!!

Glad people with a violent history are off the streets. The drugs taken though are a drop in the buckets worth compared to the large quantities of dope in this county. Kilos come here near daily of meth and they got 1/6 of a pound or even the 7 hydrocodone pills. Any one that worked in law enforcement field or similar knows how easy it is to get thousands with little effort. Sad we have so many addicts out there. and foodlocker what is hcpd? You realize its sheriff not police..lol Two different agencies. Brooksville does have a city department but the county has the more political end of it being the elected sheriff and police departments usually have an appointed chief of police.
Oh hooray but the POS meth heads on my street are still living large.

Angel I totally agree with your response in regards to the percentages and let me add I am Caucasian. We are at a war on drugs while others forget and are at war with race. On any given day you can look in the HCSO website and clearly see the large number of white males and females arrested for possession or sale of drugs. It does not matter if you are selling or purchasing. By doing either you are a contributor to the drug ring. I have done extensive research in the area of Methamphetamine dealers and this may surprise the more ignorant people but, the white man seems to be in the lead. In any county arrests are largely based on demographics and areas where drug sales are known. In other areas less prone to drug manufacturing like suburban areas, well they just haven’t been caught yet. The black man goes to prison and the white man becomes a temporary billionaire until he to is caught. Drugs are not bias to race, religion, creed or financial status…dammit people it is an epidemic whether a physical addiction to the substance or and addiction to the profit. American Greed is American Greed no matter your skin color! We all bleed the same blood however, the Irish came here as free people the African American came against their will in chains. I’m sick of hearing about race :/ then again maybe it’s because I don’t care about it. It’s nice to see HCSO raiding these houses for a change then using them as trap houses to arrests addicts. Then I wonder if this has something to do with the commission taking the funding out of the sheriff’s hands :$. Now he has no choice, but the do his job. I once heard a cop say I wouldn’t let my dog live in that house….speaking of a house on my street…..yet there was a child living there and he never notified DCF. They used this house to catch addicts never arresting the dealer’s. The people have since moved thank goodness…..not before I had to hide my family in a bedroom while the dealer’s they ripped off stood in the middle of the street threatening to burn the house down.
Leroy and Tyrone go straight to jail but the drug lords and the pharmaceutical company executives live lavishly free from prosecution? Legalize everything and almost no one would want drugs. It is the allure of the forbidden fruit.

Getting rid of the drug traffickers is good work. However, who is supplying them. Another thing that is upsetting is to ride around and see people operating businesses out of homes. If it were a business involving just inside telephone work or something I could see that. It is not fair to a small business that has to rent a place, be licensed and insured and operate according to the law and the Codes of the county. As for 56 traffic citations, they could put a couple of unmarked cars on Spring Hill Drive and issue two or three times that many in one day.

As far as the hatred many display for those receiving public assistance, I really can’t understand that. I’m white, 51, and am disabled due to a fire department injury. My total disability assistance (including fire department) is $852/mo. Though I can’t work a regular job, I’m always trying to give something back and may make more money as a result.

Amazing! not one of you commented about how these low life drug dealers are using our teens ages 13 - 17 for females and ages 12 - 17 for males to deal these drugs and/or prostitute them out for money to buy even more drugs. We have kids in this county, Citrus and Pasco that go missing and come here after being lured online. I don’t care how little the amount of drugs where seized. But I do care that these three low life’s will not be able to grab another child to do their dirty work. Trust me even though it’s not mentioned here they have used a child to deal. It is a big problem here and if HCSO makes only a small dent in getting a small amount of drugs off the streets than kudos to them. They got three pusher’s off the streets and that is three less that can use our kids to push for them…SMH

I cam across this nice conversation as I was looking at homes to rent. From my perspective, this round up of criminals a bust. The showcase of the spoils tells it all. This is an election year people! Wake up. 41 people got arrested but a little bit of drugs was found, not to mention it took 2 days. These 3 young guys are a part of the problem, don’t get me wrong, but their street hustlers/foot soldiers. They police could have picked them up whenever they wanted, but wanted to make a statement. To me, this isn’t news and it’s really doesn’t scare any of the other drug dealers out there. If anything, the race driven comments from previous posts are enough for me to not consider bringing my interracial kids here. It’s unfortunate that the police there can’t do more, we still have people that think race before anything, and people are fooled by FOX-type politics.
