Kidnapping Victim Now Charged with Armed Burglary

SPRING HILL – During a terrifying ordeal last month, 26-year-old Michelle Padurano was kidnapped, beaten, and held for ransom, before being dropped off at a local hospital. Her Attacker, 26-year-old Ricardo Sellers Jr. was located the following day in Pasco County and charged with Kidnapping, Aggravated Battery, and Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.

Unfortunately, Padurano had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear, and was booked into the Hernando County Jail after she was released from the hospital.

The twists and turns continue for Padurano, after she and another woman were arrested last Wednesday, on charges armed burglary.

According to reports, Padurano and co-defendant, 22-year-old Erika Clark broke into a vehicle at a residence on Lansfield Street. In the course of the burglary, Padurano armed herself with a .40 caliber handgun that she took from the vehicle.

During an interview with detectives, Padurano admitted to stealing the firearm selling it to an acquaintance; however, the firearm has not been recovered.

As a result of the confession, Padurano was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

In addition, Padurano faces charged with Armed Burglary, Unarmed Burglary, and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card. It is not known if the all the charges are related or if they are connected to separate cases.

Clark faces one count of Armed Burglary and separate counts of unarmed burglary.
