BROOKSVILLE – Fire Rescue responded to Cortez Blvd and Ft. Dade Ave, after reports of a two vehicle accident that injured two people.
According to witnesses, the smaller silver SUV struck the Nissan Pathfinder, causing it to flip several times before coming to rest on its side.
The elderly male driver was airlifted to a local trauma center for treatment. The female driver of the Nissan was transported locally by ground. The condition of both patients is unknown at this time.
The Florida Highway Patrol is on the scene, investigating the cause of the accident.
