Woman and Child Injured after Struck by Vehicle
SPRING HILL – A woman and child were injured this evening, after a vehicle struck them in the parking lot of a local shopping plaza.
According to witnesses, a woman holding a child stepped into the roadway in front of the Dollar Tree, located at 11080 Spring Hill Drive (Mariner Village Center) and was struck by an SUV.
Witnesses say the injured woman was lying on the ground after the collision, but the child appeared to be okay.
Both patients were transported to Bayfront Hospital Spring Hill for treatment, where their condition remains unknown.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.

I was there when it happened. The sun was so bright , we crawled at 5 mph through that parking lot.
I’m sorry, but it says she stepped in front of the SUV, not that the SUV didn’t stop for them.

Parking lots are dangerous no mater where they are and you have to be alert no mater if your walking or driving.

Leena so if this person stepped on the roadway in front of a car,you think it would of happen differently?so becouse a person bought a suv its their fault people walk in front of them.and sandy it does say she stepped in roadway and got hit,so caras assumption would be correct unless the suv was in reverse but it dont say it was so maybe your coprehension skills are a bit off huh?

ok to make sense if a person steps out in front of a vehicle their getting ran over some part of their body no one was ran over so that settles that second off they have school signs that say 15mph when incession now in a parking lot of a grocery store you shouldn’t be going above 5mph and if you have a sun diverser it blocks out the sun so you can see where your driving so it comes down to this people need drive slower watch were and who is on both side of the parking lot

No matter what you sould always look before you walk out where any cars drive dont matter if the persons goin 5mph or 50mph you look before you step out anywhere exspecialy if your holding a f**kin child.should have known better n some people walk at almost 5mph. In a car its a crawl n most cars suvs n trucks can stop very very quickly at that speed most parking lots also have 5-10mph signs so realy none of yall have a valid arguement. If people payed attention n Looked s**t like this wouldnt happen…its the pedestrian n drivers fault for not payin attention n luckily the kid wasn’t injured.
