$10,000 Reward for Stolen Bright Green Semi-Truck

HUDSON (PASCO) – It’s not hard for car thieves to blend in with traffic, once they’re away from the scene of the crime but how does one hide a 23,000 lb., bright green, Semi-truck? That’s exactly what owner-operator Joey Bags wants to know, after his 2010 Peterbilt was stolen from an off-site lot in Hudson.

Joey lives in Spring Hill but due to the obvious size of the truck, he is forced to park a distance from his home, in what he thought was a secure lot. Sometime between last Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, Joey’s truck disappeared from the lot, located at 18610 US-19 North.

Joey explains that it would take someone experienced in driving a Peterbilt truck to know how to start it, because they have special kill-switches placed between the ignition and batteries. There was evidence at the scene that someone was tampering with the fuses, so he knows the truck was driven away and not towed.

After posting pictures of the truck on social media, Joey says he received a few tips from people who say they spotted the truck in the area.

Joey has posted a $10,000 reward for information leading to the whereabouts of his truck.

The truck is described as a bright green, fully loaded, 2010, Peterbilt 386, with very distinct markings. It bears Florida Tag F1593T2, MC#891289, and DOT#2556275.

If you have information regarding this case, contact the Pasco or Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. You can also contact Joey directly at 352-263-4295 or 352-340-9568.

  • One bit of advice.. gps locator. all my vehicles have them minus my kids atv. Even my bicycles both have them. Ive had two cars stolen and two high end bikes. Call me silly but lesson learned. World has thieves all around us. . lithium battery w motion sensing and real time tracking. All it takes is one time to hurt you badly financially and multiple jobs to catch back up to where you were. Insurance companies can be a nightmare to deal with also. Hope you get back your rig. Terrible to see this happen to any one.

  • Charlie strayhorn first off just becouse you are a deadbeat scumbag dont mean everyone else is,so lets look at your retarted statement,A) the repo man therory so you dont think that the repo guy informs the local police/ sheriffs office that they took it,in which case the owner would of been informed upon reporting it stolenB) fire for insurance, well its this mans livihood you mindless dipshit, why would he offer 10k for its return, that kind of in itself says to me a few things like first off he wants it back, second he may not of had theft insurance, and also he is not hurting for cash if he has 10 k at will to pay as a reward.its stupid statements made by midless individuals like you that aggravate me because you run all.over town running your stupid mouth with your retarted theories which you prolly have becouse its what you would do and in a weak attempt to deflect the size dousche bag you are in are you makeing crazy accusations about other people.instead of saying shit whats this poor guy gonna do for work now to support his family since some scumbag deprived him of his hard earned income.
On another note i hope that they can locate the mans truck and it is in working conditon,it did not mention if it had trailer connected to it or not but if it did maybe they took it to get what was inside it and he might get it back but cleaned out.best of luck
