7-Year-Old Girl in Critical Condition After Being Thrown from Jeep

REGIONAL – The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating a potentially tragic Christmas accident involving a young girl.

According to Hernando County Fire Rescue, around 8:30 p.m. a 7-year-old girl was ejected from the back of a Jeep inside the Croom Motorcycle Park on La Rose Road. The child was reportedly unconscious but still breathing when paramedics arrived on the scene. Bayflite airlifted the victim to St Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa where she is currently listed in critical condition.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
