BROOKSVILLE – Around 10:45 p.m. this evening, Fire Rescue responded to a single vehicle rollover accident at Spring Hill Drive and the southbound onramp to the Suncoast Parkway.
Soon after their arrival, the driver 25-year-old Christina Lourdes Gonzalez was out of the vehicle and appeared to be uninjured.
Deputies soon arrived on scene and immediately suspected that Gonzalez was under the influence of alcohol. According to our sources, during an interview Gonzalez pulled a nearly empty bottle of Pinnacle Vodka from her purse (Pictured below).
We have not received an official report, but according to Hernando County Jail Records, Gonzalez is currently behind bars and will most likely face charges of DUI and DUI with property damage; however, that has not been confirmed.

what a dumb biatch… she’s lucky to be alive. Glad no one else was hurt from her stupidity. Unbelievable…
We passed here shortly after. Thankful no-one was hurt from her stupidity.
The drunks never get hurt , no excuses for driving drunk should be a much tougher sentence, smh
Deport her back to Mexico!!
Another idiot who wasn’t able to kill someone else because of her stupidity. Our judicial system will surely release her allowing the dummy to once again attempt murder on the highway.
Thank God no one was hurt including her.I hope this taught her how fast your life can end
Rehab. Tax payers budget again!
whoa…the hard stuff! happy hangover in jail hun.
Lucky to be alive, maybe this will open her eyes and change her habits a little bit, but probably won’t . Not until someone gets hurt.
this just shows you that they are making bottles better than the cars,oh an theres a little left in the bottle ,party in the jail ,oh yah!
11:45 A M saturday bad accident on mariner an elgin traffic detoured on my street backup the whole lenght of baldock ave,
Thank God she was stopped from getting on that highway and killing innocent people. Hopefully this will open her eyes to how she’s wasting her life and turns it around. Out of all the places I’ve lived around the country, this region (Spring Hill, Hernando county, Florida in general) has the worst drivers of every sort I’ve ever seen.
Never had that problem before Springhill existed
She no need to worry she go back to Mexico..
Hum mm…crash and flip your car while driving under the influence of alcohol, in which a bystander could have been killed, or even an entire family while on their way home from dinner and a movie, you get a $500.00 bond. But, if you’re senior citizens caught growing marijuana plants your bond is $10,500…what’s wrong with this picture? For those of you that will now say, “they also stole electric!” If this is indeed true, fine them and charge them for the unpaid wattage. This way they alone are held financially accountable for their crime, instead of using our tax dollars for court cost, legal fees, as well as paying the cost of housing these very-very dangerous criminals in the county jail. Lol…seriously???
ARE you kidding me Spring hill nurse, 500.00 for drunk driving, I agree with everything you posted!!This borders on insanity. She must know someone (wink wink)!I am speechless
Stop with the tax dollar crap..every dime is paid by the criminal..court costs..probation…classes fines etc..even paper is billed…even in jail you are billed a per day rate..unpaid labor on contracts ..the jail runs on a profit…most county jails actually make a large profit. Do some research prisoners are actually traded on the stock market.
Nurse…who gets there legal fees paid by tax dollars ? Who gets there court costs paid?..you need to do some research americas prison system is for profit and generates big profits..that is why america has the most incarcerated people in the world. I am not a criminal just educated . Seriously look into it..and the way billions are made by trading prisoners in the stock market..Ask a local lawyer..bail bonds person..judge.. if the probation dept is a cash cow for Hernando..they will agree…so these criminals are a huge cash cow for tax payers..
Is she here illegally, If so deport here back to where she came from despite what Obama says.
dann…who do you think pays the salaries of the public defenders, judges, county clerks, county workers, etc.? Yes, I know the county charges their inmates for everything, including jail space, food, medicine, medical care, as well as for every (alleged) piece of paper ever used. It is a scam, and I’ve opposed it for years. If a person is in jail they are not able to earn an income, so how can they pay all these nonsense fees that continue to grow throughout their incarceration? It’s ridiculous, and the public is not aware of this. They also charge inmates outrageous fees for phone calls, canteen items, and then the jail takes 50% of any money that is sent to an inmates account by a family member, money that was intended for the inmate to purchase over inflated priced canteen items such as $3.00 for a travel size of generic tooth paste…no these items are not furnished to county inmates. It’s a shame what they are allowed to charge a county inmate, and for those inmates that do not have the fortune to have money sent in, they are billed for it. Every inmate is sent a bill for their stay and for all their court cost, and when it’s not paid within a brief period of time (sometimes before they are even released from jail) the amount continues to grow in late fees and interest, just like a credit card bill. If the bill is not paid, they then will suspend your driver’s license…again a “catch 22″…if you can’t drive to work, how can you pay your fines? I could go on and on. This is a for profit business that is trying to make money off the less fortunate, and because they know this is almost impossible, they then use our tax dollars. This is the Sheriff’s county budget, and the cost to run the jail is how they determine the annual jail budget. So more inmates, means more cost, which then equals the Sheriff requesting a larger budget every year. Look at the recent budget our wonderful Sheriff just got approved. This is why our county jail has a revolving door, ie: arrest a person, charge them for their legal fees and county stay, they can’t pay it, suspend their license, they drive anyway b/c they need transportation, they’re then arrested for driving on a suspended license, arrest them, release them with fees, put them on probation, they can’t get to their probation appt b/c they can’t drive, and/or they can’t afford to pay the monthly probation fees without an income, so they’re arrested again for VOP (violation of probation). This gets a longer mandatory jail sentence, etc…..So, if anyone asks what’s happened to this county and why is our crime growing just take a look at how the court system and county jail operates and this should answer your question. Anyone sentenced to over a year is actually getting a gift, b/c the state prison does not charge an inmate for their housing and food. No one should ever agree to probation b/c it only sets them up for failure, and thousands of dollars in fees, and more time behind bars. Eventually they will only end up as a state prisoner anyway d/t to the revolving door, however now they also will not only serve more time they will also owe all this money to the county. So dann, I do know a lot about the county and state correctional system as I worked for the State of Florida’s DOC (dept. of corrections) for years. In conclusion…as a county tax payer, if the county budget goes up, which it does annually, so does our taxes. This is why I remarked on the low bond that was set for the DUI driver…I hope this clarifies my comment.
Glad to see you are not an OBummer supporter
Well Dan,,,, what… do you gotta say??? Wait let me get my popcorn….be right back 🙂
The court costs that are paid by every criminal and every person who files a lawsuit pay the judges. That’s why it costs $300 to file a small claims suit. I filed a federal lawsuit and it cost me $400 just to file it. Check out how a public defender works …and if they are paid..and how many cases the attorney is required to do.
