Car Collides with School Bus at Railroad Crossing, One Injured

BROOKSVILLE – A two vehicle accident involving a school bus has reportedly injured at least one person at the intersection of Cortez Blvd and Main Street.

According to our sources, a male victim is trapped inside a vehicle that collided with the rear of the school bus as it stopped at the railroad crossing.

Fire Rescue personnel are preparing to extricate the victim at this time and Bayflite has been placed on standby.

One student was on board the bus at the time of the crash but the child was not injured.

  1. Glad the child wasn’t injured, and I really do hope the man is ok. However anyone that runs into the big yellow bus, shouldn’t be driving.

  2. this accident was on the opposite side of Cortez as a similar collision a few months ago. the driver didn’t survive that crash. small white car this time too. no skid marks so driver probably wasn’t paying attention. prayers for all involved.
