Cyclist Struck by Citrus County Patrol Car, FHP Investigating

HERNANDO (CITRUS) – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating an injury crash involving a Citrus County Patrol Car and a pedestrian that occurred at the intersection of North Lecanto Ave and North Florida Ave.

According to Citrus County Officials, the victim was riding a three-wheeled bike when he was struck by a patrol car as both were attempting to make a right turn. Fire Rescue responded to the scene but the cyclist refused treatment.

  1. If you ride so low that you are not visible to the traffic your riding with you cant blame anyone but yourself for getting ran over !! Was he afraid the treatments might involve a blood draw?? And its obvious that the Sheriff is a better man than those who “bash” him. 🙂

RECUMBENT BICYCLES in county, cities, etc. Most do have reflectors, flags, etc.AS A DRIVER YOU HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO OBSERVE NOT ONLY WHAT’S IN FRONT OF YOUR HOOD BUT ALSO WHAT IS AROUND YOU. IF YOU, Karma, DON’T WANT THAT RESPONSIBILITY GIVE UP YOUR LICENSE.!!!!!!! If you deserve to be bashed, you earned it by a stupid selfish act.
