Deputy Involved Shooting Leaves Suspect and Deputy Injured, Suspect Armed with a Pellet Gun

NEW PORT RICHEY (PASCO) – The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Deputy involved shooting that occurred in the area of US-19 and Gulf Blvd.

According to officials, deputies were investigating a shooting around 7:40 p.m. when a 36-year-old male suspect shot at them with what turned out to be a pellet gun. Two deputies returned fire, striking the suspect in the legs several times. One of the deputies was struck by a pellet in the leg but was not seriously injured, according to officials. The suspect was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

      That information can’t be that hard to find out?!

  1. Send both deputies back to the range for additional training. The asshole suspect should be in the morgue this am, not the hospital. Yep here goes, when the jerk gets out of hospital, hangem than shootem, case solved and closed.

  2. Well, that’s one stupid way to get shot. I guess I’ll have to ask the question, “WHY”?? But I would have the same question for most of the violent perps I see in the news in the Pasco/Hernando area.
